Quote:
Stella responds to Ted's proposal and Barney realizes that he's in love with Robin.
Picking up right where we left off from the finale.

Been hoping that Alyson goes back to being a redhead, but I fear that is a fool's hope.

I'm having problems with cable and CBS is one of the channels that isn't working.

Oh no! That really sucks. Doesn't CBS usually put their episodes online the next day? Or are they changing it this year?

Also, I like many am betting on either Stella saying no or saying yes, then changing her mind sometime during the episode/season.

I enjoyed the episode. Not great, but not bad.

"What are you doing?" Bored Marshall was funny, as well as when he popped out from behind the couch. He'll have found a job by next week.

I do find it hard, if not impossible, to believe that two people have been dating for months and one did not mention a very dangerous, life-threatening food allergy.

What happened at the very end? It comes back from commercial to show the 5 sitting in the bar laughing at something, Lily says chimichanga and then she and Marshall leave. It was like 3 seconds long.

It was a call back to earlier in the episode when Barney called her out for having her own stupid lines when she wants to get laid, and they cut to them in the bar, Lily turning to Marshall and saying rhinoceros, and Lily and Marshall leaving, at which point the flashback ends and Lily says that she and Marshall need to come up with a new code word.

So disappointing. The show is still very well written and funny but every storyline I was excited about from the season finale was quickly deflated, not in any permanent way but in a somewhat artificial way to let you know exactly how they're going to drag them out for the season. I hope, as in the past, they surprise and entertain me, but this was not the best it could have been.

It really seems like they aren't sure what to do with Marshall and Lilly anymore which is also a shame as both actors are deserving of real story arcs.

This was my biggest complaint as well, I was rather disappointed in the lack of Lilly/Marshall interaction. They've brought a lot of humor before, and they barely made like 3 scenes together. Hopefully this episode was just a bridge and we can get more of the gang next week.

So are we going to find out that Robin gets the job and it is in a different state/country?

As much as I love this show, I'm always afraid its going to get canceled or resolved to quickly. I also think they will drag out the engagement all season, and then break it off, and we're right back where we started.

So Stella has an invisible daughter I guess. She seems to have no problem finding time to watch Star Wars all of a sudden when last season she was too busy between work and child rearing to date. Sloppy writing. I'm growing very weary of this show I may actually drop it if they don't start moving things forward to how he met their mother...

I agree with Stella...Star Wars sucks! I mean, c'mon that moaning bear! Sheesh.

I actually felt bad for Barney when Robin brought the waitress over.

Thought it was a good premiere...not great but had it's moments. I really do like the Robin/Barney stuff though.

We'd all be lucky to have Robin as a wingwoman.
