Jon & Kate is getting a lot of free publicity right now, I know a lot of people who had never heard of the show tuned in (and stayed tuned in, apparently Kate is such an overwhelming bitch that it's hard to look away).

I tuned in one time before, was amazed that anyone would marry that woman.

Great start to the new season of Burn Notice and the debut of Royal Pains. Glad BN beat Jon and Kate in overall viewers. I know a lot of people criticize USA for advertising their own shows as much as they do, but it seems to be working.

It isn't as "fun" this season.

IPS got 3.72M viewers on Sunday. It's been hovering around 4M all season. Not bad numbers at all. Plus, the show is not expensive to produce like Burn Notice and Royal Pains since it has a small cast and is filmed in New Mexico.

I think USA expects really high numbers for BN and RP since they probably have a much higher budget than IPS.

I dunno, BN never struck me as high budget. It's filmed in Miami but they've been giving out a lot of financial breaks to filmmakers.
