I didn't realize the girl must have tried climbing to get the doll. That makes sense. I thought the grandma might have done something or the armoire fell on the girl by accident. It doesn't explain how this adopted Dylan has no recollection of her childhood and that she wasn't the other Dylan or how people who knew her when she was little had no doubt that she was the same girl years later.

The 5 year leap doesn't work for me. Maybe as a conclusion to the series but not as a cliff hanger to the next season.

Well, they did a 4-year leap with One Tree Hill this season, and it was a mix-bag. So, the idea definitely isn't all that original, but it does turn over the cast and allows them to try and re-invigorate the show and keep the audience on their toes.

I think it helped ONE TREE HILL. The show might not be better, but atleast its not nearly as bad as it would had it, had they tried "the college years" with the 5 leads be in 4 very different locations.

ALIAS did it too and that was a mixed bag as well. I like the idea of time-lapse, but its always weird the following seasons because sooo much time is spent filling in the blanks.

Pretty good Season Finale. The resolution to the Mayfair storyline was a little hammy, but held great suspense through most of Part II. Didn't really dig the ending.

I do seem to remember there being at least some questions regarding Dylan's true identity. I seem to remember Julie always thinking something was very different about her. But in fairness, if you haven't seem someone since they were a little kid and they were different, would you necessarily believe they weren't the same person at all? But it still bothers me that Dylan doesn't remember anything about her childhood. Maybe it's all a post-traumatic stress reaction because of her parents' deaths.

Someone on another board pointed out that memories are often associated with language/speech (which makes sense when you think about how most people do not remember childhood before they started speaking.) If the adoptive Dylan was from Romania, she likely had to learn English when Katherine adopted her, and essentially lost her native language. So most of her memories would now originate with when she started speaking English. That, coupled with the traumatic nature of her early childhood makes it seem somewhat plausible.

I recall reading something on TV Guide that said Gale Harold was being casted for a part this season, but I totally forgot about it until that final scene. Probably the easiest paycheck he ever made.

I think Susan and Mike will eventually end up back together, unless Denton has left the show. The writers probably thought they would be boring characters as a happily married couple for an entire season.

Say what u like about Desperate Housewives, their season finales are good at wrapping up that season's mysteries and starting new ones

The Dylan resolutiion was ok, i mean it couldn't have been any more way out and been believable

So it's a definite cleanup of all the younger cast members. I'm sick of Mike so i won't miss him

Just because they aren't still married, I don't think Mike will necessarily be gone, unless he died in the 5-year window.
