Robin Sparkles best not disappoint. I find it funny that Robin keeps making fun of Debbie Gibson things yet Tiffany is in this episode ha.

Good episode tonight, I thought. It'll be interesting to see where the Barney/Robin storyline goes. Those two do deserve each other, but whether it's worth losing Barney I don't know.

Do we know anything about a renewal yet, or is there still suspicion we'll find out about the mother sometime soon? Also, no mention of Sarah Chalke tonight.

I thought they semi-established Sarah Chalke IS the mother because the Yellow umbrella appeared in the St. Pats day pub and they had Sarah Chalke say that she went out to a Club on St Pats but left early

To quote the immortal Tommy Callahan: "I've seen a lot of things in my life, but THAT WAS AWESOME!"

I thought they would tease us and not give us anything, but when it happened, I had the biggest grin on my face since, well, last week's episode of The Office!

Did Ted's t-shirt have both the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds logo on it?

Wow, didn't see that coming! And Van Der Beek was great. I'd take 1 appearance from him, over 10 of Britney. Great episode!

Yeah How cool was it to see James Van der Beek again, although I don't know how I feel about Robin and Barney. I know Ted and Robin aren't together anymore, but I don't see things going well if he finds out.

It was very good until they stopped watching, and then it sucked. Going anywhere with that ruins both of those characters and is a little too "Friends" for my taste.

I don't really see how "Stella" is the mother unless she was lying about her daughter, because there is no way that Hot Daughter is ten-ish years older than Goofy Son.

They had better not screw up the Barnana.

Great episode, though.

No, it was the indians logo from the 50's:

Loved the episode. I thought that the Canadian stuff was great, especially with the Alan Thicke cameo. As for Barney and Robin, it's been teased a few times before, so I was kinda expecting it to happen sooner or later.

My favorite part was the playing of Death Train over the pictures of the dogs up for adoption, and Robin saying that a lot had been adopted because people thought that they were going to kill them.

Who's to say those aren't kids #2 & 3 and that we never saw the older daughter?

I don't know if the Robin/Barney thing will have any traction, but I've always thought since season 1 that they'd end up together.

Anyhow, really fun and funny episode.

Plus the fact that Stella's daughter would be 32 when Older Ted is narrating.

I love the Robin Sparkles bit, but I hope they don't overdo it to the point that it's no longer funny. I hate to bring up another Friends reference, but when that show did the prom video, it was hilarious. When they pumped that flashback well for the 4th and 5th time, it lost all humor. I'm hoping HIMYM doesn't do the same, like a faux Behind the Music episode about Robin.

The dog adoption thing had me laughing my ass off as well. The only thing is the song I belive was called "Murder Train" which made it even better.

It didn't help that both teams use a C shaped liked in their logo.
