The Office -- "The Chairmodel" -- 4/17/2008

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Michael gets fascinated by a chair model in a catalog, which causes confusing feelings to surface. Kevin and Andy use this distraction to their advantage, teaming up to gain parking spaces back for Dunder Mifflin - leading to a showdown with the other tenants of the business park.

Okay, people who weren't happy about last week can rejoice as Kevin is featured AND in the office! This one is penned by B.J. Novak who usually has funny episodes...

Kevin is great for his facial expresions in the background and his brief comments in the interview room. I'm not sure how funny he'd be in huge doses.

Did anyone else just see a commercial with Jason Segal and the rest of the cast for Forgetting Sarah Marshall? lol maybe it's just my shitty and unreasonably small TV, but I could only see Segal, Brand, and Kunis all at once...whenever it showed the entire cast, Kristin Bell wasn't visible (or cut in half by the edge of my TV). Just wondering if it appeared to anyone else like this (perhaps intentionally?) or if it was just my crappy TV.

P.S.
Spoiler:
LMAO @ Kevin putting down the number for Wendy's

Damn... that was probably the funniest episode they've done in two years!

The Wendy's phone conversation and the end with Jim and Pam seal it.

Same here - a few laughs, but average episode overall, imo.

Micheals awkward look was fantastic. Great scene with Jim and Pam at the end.

Michael accidentally calling Jan when showing her picture was a nice touch.

When they showed a closeup early in the episode, did anyone else think that the chair model looked like Jan?

I know that most people seem to hate it, but I like Jim and Pam as a couple. I liked that Jim had an engagement ring a week after they started dating.

Loved the episode. The tag outro was great too, overall very good. And they say it's only going to get better the next 4 episodes.....wow...

"This was nice, this...conversation. Like talking to the old lady on the bus."
"That was very rude."
"AND now you've ruined it."

Genius.

The parking spot stuff, not so funny.

I couldn't agree more. I like that the writers actually let them get together, rather than continually toying around with the idea. I personally hope Dwight and Angela reconcile.
