The only one I haven't heard of is the tiger guy. Everyone else I have seen in a comic at one point and all them have showed up on justice league or justice league unlimited both of which are fantastic cartoons.

Bronze Tiger is definitely a comic book character, probably most famous for being part of the Suicide Squad.

What's great about these cartoons is that, even in the little beginning snippets, they give you enough about the character and their powers that even if you have no idea who the heroes are, you can follow along. This is what I loved about comic books as a kid when I first started reading... I had no idea who most of these characters were, but it didn't detract from what I was reading. Unfortunately, I fear that any kids who want to follow their favorite characters from the cartoon series to the comic book world won't have as easy a time with it.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Bronze Tiger under mind Control killed Kathy Kane(Batwoman) in Detective Comics #485.

I like Bronze Tiger on B&B.
Never been a fan of the Terrible Trio. But they used as well here as anywhere else.
Since I am a Big Western fan, I got a kick out of the opener. Wish it been longer.
Jonah Hex has now appear on: B-TAS, JLU, and B:TB&B.

This week Batman visits an alternative Earth. Looks to be a real hoot.

I'm behind on my Batman reading so I thought you spoiled a storyline for me.

So I had to fix that.

The last episode with the Red Hood was great. It will be a big treat for those that liked The Killing Joke comic. The next episode is a continuation of this one if you are someone that skips around.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

I have been watching these lately (even though CN HD is not available in my area yet), but hot damn is this show great!

I love the opening credits, score, obscure characters, the campy tone, the somewhat serious moments....I mean what is not to love?

Initially, I had my doubts (Batman in space?), but by episode #2, it totally won me over. I would like to see a Superman show like this.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

I'm really liking the show as well as the Wolverine and the X-men one. I love when they use all the characters from the company and keep their stories close to their comic book counterparts. JLU was more serious, but this show is getting a correct tone without going the campy way I thought they were going to take.

I really have no complaints about this show and have been enjoying it. Did anyone notice the quick glimpse of the giant penny in the Batcave during the last episode? Of course the Phantom Stranger has to make an appearance at some point or I am going to be disappointed.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Someone is a BIG comic Book fan on the show.
The Evil Green Arrow counterpart was called THE BLUE BOWMAN.
In the comics old-time Bat Villian The SignalMan change his name to THE BLUE BOWMAN for one story during the 1950's.

This was a Great episode. Lots of Fun.
Looking forward to part-2 with Bats teaming up with The Joker.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Part 2 had alot of nice things.
Owlman wearing Batmans' uniform from Detective Comics #27.
Jokers' memories of his Death Traps. I believe all of them were from the Adam West TV show.
Plastic Man getting snub from the other heroes but always getting in on the action.
Black Manta turning up the Heat on Aquaman.
Bats getting helping from a multi-verse of Heroes.
Gets a Solid 'A' from me.

This friday starts off with Batman and the Question.
Then in the main story Batman and Aquaman go to Rann and meet Adam Strange.

Also I have heard that the show has been given another 26 episodes.
That will bring the total to 52 episodes.

Anyone else's DVR mess up with this show? There's been a couple times that it records something else even though the schedule shows Batman.

I was hoping to watch it today and was instead treated to an episode of Pokemon.

I like the rhyming Demon so much more than the none rhyming one. I wonder why they dropped it from the comics.

They didn't. Well, maybe he doesn't rhyme 100% of the time but he still does it.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

Another FUN Episode!!! Gets a Solid 'A' from me.

Opener: Batman and The Original Flash, Jay Garrick must stop The Scarecrow and Scream Queen for Ruining Halloween Night.

Never heard of Scream Queen. New Character? or some one from the comics?

Main Story: After capturing Crazy Quilt Batman is Transported back to 1880s London by Jason Blood.
Bats, The Demon, Sherlock Holmes, and Doctor Watson go up against Gentleman Jim Craddrock and his mad desire to make himself immortal.
Love the ending. Kind of Creepy.

Wonder how they are able to Use Holmes and Watson?
Answer might be, WB is making a live-action Holmes movie.

About two weeks ago they changed the time of new episodes from 8 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. on Fridays. I would go through the listings manually and record new episodes that way until they get the listings accurate. The show is also repeated frequently throughout the week so it is a good chance you can watch the episodes you missed.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

i set my dvr to record every single time it comes on.
this uses very little space on the dvr so i just go in a delete the ones i don't need.

this way i get every episode even if the dvr misses is first run.

He didn't rhyme when he first appeared in the comics, it was later retconned that he was promoted to "rhyming class" demon.

The real reason, of course, is that it's hard for the writer (and sometimes annoying for the reader) to have every line of dialogue be a rhyme. It's a little better in an audio/visual format.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

New episodes have started.
Last Week in the opener, Batman and Black Canary took on Solmon Grundy.
And in the main story, Bats, Blue Beetle, and the Huntress had to battle BabyFace and his wife Mrs. Manface.
Old-Time Bat-Villians Tweedledee & Tweedledum also appeared.

This Friday its Batman and Booster Gold.

I HATED the Blue Beetle/Huntress episode. Babyface & Mrs. Manface were awful. Maybe if they used Plastic Man or another comedic character in the team-up, but this just didn't work for me.

I'm not a fan of Booster Gold, but I'll hope for the best.

Re: Batman: The Brave and the Bold coming to Cartoon Network

I liked the style they used for Black Canary, it was like she was drawn back in the 1940's. Huntress was nice too.

The ep was ok. The main villains were distracting and gross.
