I was shocked that Ramiele was SAFE.

I'm not complaining about Chikeze leaving. He wouldn't have made it in the next couple weeks anyway.

I guess I overestimated Castro's popularity. Glad he's not popular as I thought. There's now hope that he'll leave soon.

So now I figure Brooke, David A., and David C. are going to be safe for the long run and the test is a toss-up.

A lot of kids were off from school this week, so the voting might have been a bit off.

Well, she'll have home court advantage for the theme (country). She has less excuse for sucking than anyone else (not that she can't rise to the sucking challenge).

David Archuleta is such a shitty liar. Does anyone not believe that his father picked "You're the Voice" for him? Sure ... the guy never heard a Beatles song before the show, but John Farnham is one of his all-time favorites

Disappointed to see Chikieze leave, but he was too inconsistent to win the whole thing anyway.

Ramiele must have some sort of fan base. Maybe it's the rest of her eliminated A.I. alliance all voting for her.

Syesha has her best performance and ends up in the bottom 2. That doesn't bold well for her future in the competition.

KLC is poised to stay another week with it being a country week.

we don't know that for sure... jason might have been next to last.

they rescued him first, but i don't think the rescue has anything to do with the ranking... just added drama

KLC should sing "America, Fuck Yeah!" from Team America: World Police.

I wonder if they closed that loophole with Hawaii being able to dial in more votes because of the time difference. Malubai's not from Hawaii, but she is Filipino...

Silly explanation considering the fact that there are way more whiteys in this country than Asians. She can sing. Just hasn't found the song to wow anyone. In fact, no one has what Randy Jackson has repeatedly called the 'wow' factor for me. The winner in this group will probably end up like Ruben Studdard or Jordin Sparks.

Yippy. Another rocker stuck on grunge lite. I cannot stand pretty much everything about this guy. Having said that, I do think what he did the other night was impressive for what it was (the first time all season I actually said something positive about him).

I think any winner would be satisfied with having a platinum record (Studdard) or two huge pop singles (Sparks).

I liked this weeks ford commercial the best so far. Group performance wasn't too bad either.

I thought that Syesha did really well on Tuesday, but she ended up with the second-lowest number of votes. Maybe she’ll do well with Dolly Parton? I can see her doing well with a country song, and of course there’s no way that KLC will be voted off this coming week.

Here’s a site with a list of songs by Dolly Parton, quite a few that I had forgotten about. There are plenty of “hits” for the nine finalists to choose from:

http://www.lyricsandsongs.com/lyrics/DOLLY_PARTON.html

And you know that somebody will choose “9 to 5”.

I don't think anybody is saying that David Cook should do ballads, or bubblegum pop, or country. I just wish he would pick an actual rock song, and sing that.

I don't believe for a second that he isn't picking these (usually obscure) covers of covers in hopes of getting credit for "originality" or "bravery". If he wasn't going for that angle, why wouldn't he just pick rock songs to sing? I'll tell you why. His performance of any good rock song would likely pale in comparison to the original, if the original was any good to begin with.

If you don't vote fer a patriotic song, then git out!

Anyone know of a similar song written by Dolly Parton?

DOLLYWOOD! F*CK YEAH!

I can't see them doing all Dolly Parton songs, but David Cook wouldl certainly have it made once he youtubes White Stripes' version of Jolene.

Dolly wrote "I Will Always Love You" -- later made more famous by Whitney Houston
