Miss Guided (Judy Greer) - Series Premiere 3/18/08

Anyone planning to watch this? It got a good review in EW and I like Judy Greer.

Premieres tonight at 10:30 after Dancing With the Stars. Then it moves to Thursdays for its regular time slot.

Having finally conquered the awkward, traumatic world of high school, Becky Freeley (Judy Greer) returns to her alma mater as a guidance counselor with her insecurities and orthodontia a distant memory.

While Becky deftly navigates the uncertainties of troubled students and an often troubling faculty, she is certain of one thing - her desperate attraction to hot mechanic-turned-Spanish teacher Tim (Kristoffer Polaha). Now that it seems Becky might finally be getting the upper hand in life and love, she's shocked to discover that the newly hired English teacher is none other than her high school nemesis, Lisa Germain (Brooke Burns). Lisa is a smart, stunning beauty, and suddenly Becky is forced to relive her past and compete for Tim's affections.

"Miss/Guided" stars Judy Greer as Becky Freeley, Brooke Burns as Lisa Germain, Kristoffer Polaha as Tim O'Malley, Earl Billings as Principal Huffy and Chris Parnell as Vice Principal Bruce Terry.

The series is executive-produced by Emmy Award-winning director Todd Holland, Karey Burke, Mark Hudis, Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, and co-executive produced by Barbie Adler and creator Caroline Williams. "Miss/Guided" is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios.

Normally I hate watching sitcoms, but I've read the good reviews and I remember Judy Greer from 13 going on 30 and liked her, so I will definitely watch it.

from the previews it looks just bizarre enough to be interesting. I don't think it will be a standard sitcom. I will give it a shot.

Fox seems to churn out pretty entertaining shows for other networks (How I Met Your Mother, Boston Legal, and My Name Is Earl come to mind), will give this one a shot -- ads looked amusing.

I love Judy Greer's cheerful snarkiness.

I've got something of a crush on Judy Greer and this show looks like it might be mildly entertaining, so I'll probably check it out.

Didn't realize who Judy Greer was, Kitty from AD!

I'm assuming this is an actual preview episode, very choppy, but Judy's great.

I really liked it, it kind of reminded me of the movie Election.

Eh, it was just okay. I wasn't exactly enthralled with the episode, but I will be giving it another chance with future episodes. Hope that it gets better. Chris Parnell rocks, though.

I liked it for a set-up episode. Luke's daughter (from Gilmore Girls) was the girl wearing the same outfit at the dance as Becky was. I could get used to a weekly dose of Judy.

I really liked it. And this is from a guy who hates sitcoms. I thought Judy Greer was really cute and charming as Becky. However, everytime I looked at her, I kept picturing Jennifer Finnigan, they have a striking resemblance to each other.

Overall, I thought it was a good set up for the series.

I enjoyed it. Reminds me a little of Romy & Michele's High School Reunion.

What was really weird was that Kristoffer Polaha (newly anointed Spanish teacher Tim), and Brooke Burns (new English teacher and Becky's nemesis Lisa) were both on North Shore playing ex-flames.

I had no idea this was on tonight. I don't watch Dancing with the Stars, and I knew this was coming to Thursday after Lost was done, and I've been looking forward to that. So will this episode be aired again on Thursday?

I don't believe so.

The wife and I enjoyed it enough to give it a Season Pass.

I would also check ABC.com and see if they post it. Since it's a FOX show it may not be there right away.

Watched this last night...I liked it. Reminded me a lot about high school (I will be out 8 years this summer).

But I also liked how Tim wasn't a superficial douchebag...the writers could have easily made it so he liked the hot girl...it was a nice touch.

This episode was solid...7.5 out of 10. It does need a little work, but I did enjoy it. If ep2 is as good or better, I will hold out hope for more episodes.

Two eps tonight at 8 pm. Seems decent, the "Women need rankings, how else would they know how attractive they are?" got a laugh out of me.

Judy Greer is cute, and there was a few decent laughs, but...eh.
