Is that the new anal rape reference of the 2000's? Never seen the movie...
i think i'll just stick to "Deliverance" for my anal rape references, thank you.

Brutally explicit man on man rape scene. BTW the victim raped a girl earlier in the movie so it is in essence a revenge rape.

Oh and I gotta disagree about the wife character. She was great in the first season, but this season, she has just been getting more and more stupid every episode. I think the baby hormones must have played havoc on her common sense. Hello, what the hell did you expect to happen when you buddy up to your old boyfriend who obviously is tryong to piss all over your husband's territory. When she told Julie that coach was being stupid I thought "No babe, you're the stupid one here." And my wife totally agreed with me. In the first season, she seemed so smart as a wife and mother. This season she has just been a ditzy dipshit. I don't like the progression of her character at all.

Decent episode, but a horrible "series finale," if that's what it ends up being. Too much time on one-night-stand girl and other stuff I didn't really care about.
As for Lyla's new boyfriend, I immediately hate any character that is a nice person. How can they even think to put one such person on a show? I hate him because he treated Lyla well, because he didn't have sex with her, because he took her to meet his family. I hate him because he doesn't get drunk every day and because he doesn't beat people up. I hate him because he doesn't have long hair and he does not brood!
Seriously--the "therapy alert" posted above needs to given heed before it's too late.

You would have absolutely adored him on Gilmore Girls then.

My favorite shows include The Shield, The Sopranos (RIP), 24 (the early years), etc., so I have no problem with non-good-guy characters. However, I give FNL props for having the seeds to put a guy like New Lyla Boyfriend on the show and not turn him into a parody or hypocrite.

I expected Lyla's new boyfriend to end up being gay (cuz' ain't no other way he ain't hitting that when she offers it up), and then becoming self-loathing given his religious upbringing.

uteotw, there's really nothing to get about the demented postings of a nutjob.
Anyway, whoever predicted Smash would end up going to the black college with the bad football team was spot on, even though in real life there'd still be tons of D-I schools still wanting a blue chipper like Smash. Hell, compared to some of the crimes athletes commit that schools look the other way on, Smash's incident was nothing!
Was the Alabama guy supposed to be the head coach? If those words had come out of Nick Saban's mouth, that would've been downright laughable.
