It's only a matter of time that horniness overcomes Lyla.

And what was with the boring blowout victory by the Cardiac Kids?

you gotta see the unrated version of Descent mate

Brutally explicit man on man rape scene. BTW the victim raped a girl earlier in the movie so it is in essence a revenge rape.

I've seen this movie a couple times - I even own the R2 dvd, and I don't recall any rape - further, it was an all female cast.

Oh, that. I heard it kinda sucked.

Anyways, as for FNL, if this is the final episode, at least there wasn't some huge cliff-hanger - most of the threads have been tied up. The only dangling thread might be Riggins' going after Lyla, and Street's baby - but who really cares about that one?

There's just something about the phrases "you gotta see" and "brutally explicit man on man rape" that just do not compute. Those phrases just don't belong together in any way.

Oh and I gotta disagree about the wife character. She was great in the first season, but this season, she has just been getting more and more stupid every episode. I think the baby hormones must have played havoc on her common sense. Hello, what the hell did you expect to happen when you buddy up to your old boyfriend who obviously is tryong to piss all over your husband's territory. When she told Julie that coach was being stupid I thought "No babe, you're the stupid one here." And my wife totally agreed with me. In the first season, she seemed so smart as a wife and mother. This season she has just been a ditzy dipshit. I don't like the progression of her character at all.

So, if this really was the series finale than are we to believe that the entire series arced around "Lance" and Lance only???

Spoiler:

This must have been the pitch to execs:
This was a story about a tall lanky, geeky kid who is the best friend of the back up QB. He'll go from a complete nobody to a murderous football player dating one of the hottest chicks in the school. In the first episode, he has no skills at all. In our last episode, he'll be scoring his first touchdown!!!

People will watch this!

Decent episode, but a horrible "series finale," if that's what it ends up being. Too much time on one-night-stand girl and other stuff I didn't really care about.

As for Lyla's new boyfriend, I immediately hate any character that is a nice person. How can they even think to put one such person on a show? I hate him because he treated Lyla well, because he didn't have sex with her, because he took her to meet his family. I hate him because he doesn't get drunk every day and because he doesn't beat people up. I hate him because he doesn't have long hair and he does not brood!

Seriously--the "therapy alert" posted above needs to given heed before it's too late.

You would have absolutely adored him on Gilmore Girls then.

I don't get the reference since I've never watched that show (and I know you're joking), but I don't get a guy who goes nuts and begs for man-man rape because there's one guy like that, out of many, on the show.

My favorite shows include The Shield, The Sopranos (RIP), 24 (the early years), etc., so I have no problem with non-good-guy characters. However, I give FNL props for having the seeds to put a guy like New Lyla Boyfriend on the show and not turn him into a parody or hypocrite.

I expected Lyla's new boyfriend to end up being gay (cuz' ain't no other way he ain't hitting that when she offers it up), and then becoming self-loathing given his religious upbringing.

uteotw, there's really nothing to get about the demented postings of a nutjob.

Anyway, whoever predicted Smash would end up going to the black college with the bad football team was spot on, even though in real life there'd still be tons of D-I schools still wanting a blue chipper like Smash. Hell, compared to some of the crimes athletes commit that schools look the other way on, Smash's incident was nothing!

Was the Alabama guy supposed to be the head coach? If those words had come out of Nick Saban's mouth, that would've been downright laughable.

I didn't get that scene either. That's a long drive from the middle of Texas.

I assumed the Alabama guy was elsewhere in Texas recruiting, but I wasn't paying that close attention. I was too enamored with the "Street is preggers!" storyline.
