But clearly, the groups somehow get back together, since Hurley got back with Jack somehow.

It almost sounds like Jack, Kate, and company went back for the other group, and in the process more bad shit went down. And if they all would've just gone with Jack to begin, things would've turned out ok...?

It should be interesting to see how they work it out. It certainly looks legit now that Hurley does suffer from some mental difficulties.

I thought it was interesting how quickly Ben tried to get Alex out of the area, before jumping into Locke's group. He must know the shit is going to hit the fan on the beach considering he is now following the guy he shot and then left in the ditch a day or so earlier.

My guess...and knowing this show whatever we guess will be completely wrong...is that it's because the rescue people are either Dharma or they set up Dharma and they not only know where the barracks are but they also know how to get around the security fence (which isn't hard...you can climb over it on a freaking tree branch for crying out loud.) But that doesn't line up with why Ben, who seems to know who the people on the boat are, would choose to go back to the barracks and be sitting ducks for people who have been waiting nearly a life time to get revenge on what happened to the Dharma Initiative.

First Jack's now Hurley's. I'm wondering if the flashforwards are going to go be timeline wise from Jack's finale one working back to getting off the island then have the big reveal with the funeral as the series finale.

another reason that i think tonight's flash forward was BEFORE jack's was because of the alcohol that jack put in his OJ. a step towards the jack we saw in the season finale.

I think Jack's flash forward is what the show is building towards at this point.

So the guy that said he was a lawyer that came to see Hurley in the hospital - real or his imagination? I'm assuming real...so do you think he's just an inquiring mind who might be trying to figure out WTF happened, or is he a "bad guy" (whoever the hell the bad guys are going to be - not The Others, I don't think)?

I'm guessing he's "bad," and somehow The Others and the Losties that want to stay behind win whatever battle is coming, and these "bad" people can't find the island anymore.

Yeah, we saw that in Locke's episode in the cabin too - what is it? Just some big old shaggy dog from the looks of it.

Thats what I mean. I am assuming that Hurley believes he went with the wrong group because terrible things happened afterwards that could have been prevented by just going with Jack.

I can't remember Ben being flat out wrong to this degree in anything he has done so far. He's the perfect manipulator.

I think the funeral reveal will be a season finale...I can't believe they'd end the series with that point, knowing he then meets with Kate and says they have to go back. I think they'll work up to that point, then maybe the last season they'll really be looking for the island and trying to get back.

Which doesn't really make since because Jack's little group seems to be the one that was rescued and for the most part they are hating life off of the island.

No one has mentioned it yet, so it may have just been a glitch in my dvr, but when hurley is lost, just before he stumbles on jacobs cabin, my dvr somes a streak of red behind the trees, it looked like smokey directing hurley, but it also looked like it could be red pixelation. Anyone else see it? was it just my dvr?
My wife is yelling at me from the other room that i need to "ask faster"...

Great episode, although I'm never one to say a bad thing about this show.
They could have easily had some cool music playing while focusing on the tv (car chase) as if you are watching it from the helicopter and then after a few seconds slowly pull back from the tv set and then show Jack. Then they could have switched to some first person Hurley race car action.
