Oy vey!

So after last week's Lyla stint we are treated to a new Street storyline? And so THIS is what Tami is going to do with her spare time now that alien-baby is in daycare?

I miss the days of Julie and Saracen or more recently Tyra and Landry.

At least this looks like it might be an episode with a football game in it.

The betting line says Riggins or Smash will score on a last-second screen.

I think we now know how they're going to keep Smash on the show next season: He's probably going to lose his scholarship to TMU as a result from all this and be stuck in Dillon FOREVER!

I also think Mr. Meth guy isn't going to let Tim off that easy: I predict he's going to do something to Lyla to get to Riggins.

I predict Tyra is going to clear her throat after she talks, Jason Street will say OK after every sentence, Saracen will stammer, Coach will say "Let me tell you something", Mr. Garritty will save someones day, Riggins will get in a fight and a Dillon team will win at the last minute.

You really think FNL will be back next season?

Meth guy tries to kill Riggins in a drive by shooting, but kills the racist movie theater boys instead. Meth guy goes to jail, two stories have a happy ending.

I really like the Lyla story line. I'm glad they didn't have her going running to Riggins, and I thought the way the played it w/her telling her new guy about her & Riggins was brilliantly scripted and acted.

I, too, think there's more coming for Riggins--he ain't gonna get away w/just paying back the exact amount he stole. Maybe he should just tip off Landry's dad...

It's got a good shot since pilot season is essentially scrapped.

Reality shows and game shows don't need pilots
I hadn't even considered it would come back.

Once the strike is resolved, I'm not sure NBC is going to want 30 hours a week of reality and game shows. Maybe I'm wrong.

Their ratings would be probably better replacing this show with Deal or No Deal on Fridays.

I enjoyed this episode, I laughed at Tammy sizing up Tyra and putting her on the volleyball team, I had no problem with Street's storyline, it was nice to see landry moving on from Tyra, but she was getting jealous. The only thing I fast forward through was all the church stuff, and Lyla with her new boyfriend.

I remember watching this 70s italian exploitation movie where both a woman and her husband were gang raped by a bunch of sickos (i recall the rape of the husband shown way more explicitly than the rape of the wife)

That's what needs to happen to Lyla and that Jesus nuthugger boyfriend of hers!

Street story was good. Smash story was good. Tyra story was good. Riggins is always good

I thought it was a pretty good episode, still one of the best dramas on TV.

My only complaint is that the last several shows have all ended on a sad note. Can we have a little hope please?

Landry's the best character on the show right now. I couldn't care less about Lyla and Smash's storylines.

I did like the look on Riggins and Saracen's faces when Landry's lab partner showed up

So Tammy was able to guide a volleyball team who couldn't even get a serve over the net in practice to a win just by adding a spiker (and the show did a mediocre job covering up the fact that Adrianne Palicki sucked at volleyball).

How many bye weeks does Dillon have? If they didn't want to show football why not just show the off season. I'm sure they could have found ways to have plenty of storylines involving the coach. Honestly, I'm getting to the point that I feel like I don't care if the show comes back.

I agree. I still enjoy watching the show but it's getting more and more off the tracks of what I loved it for in the first place.

I've said it before but I could give two shits about Lyla and Street. So here is an entire episode dedicated to them and the cliched Smash storyline. All three were well written though despite me not liking them. Hopefully we've seen the last of the drug dealer plot too.

Mrs. T coaching the Volleyball squad and Tyra actually getting into it were definitely the A story this week. It was great seeing Tyra have fun. Speaking of, when Eric was telling Julie her mom was 1 and 1 seemed like an obvious flub take and they just kept rolling. It was a nice touch if it wasn't.

Lastly, Dillon is supposed to be a tiny town correct? Then what is with the stadium sized Church Lyla attends? That's always bugged me. Just a guess, but wouldn't there be a bunch of little churches of different denominations around town and not one giant one that apparently everyone attends?
