There was a lot of documentary footage shot of combat in the Pacific War.

I highly recommend the History Channel 2-DVD set: D-Days in the Pacific. This is a great companion piece and primer for the up-coming HBO series.

This might get me to finally sign up for dish. I'll have to time it just right to take advantage of a free HBO trial.

Wow! I had no idea they were doing a sequel! I've watched the BoB series 4 times and it never gets old. I cannot wait for this!

I can not wait. I hope HBO keeps doing War min-series, I really enjoyed Generation Kill.

Thanks!

I had to look it up on IMDB to figure out that was the Jurassic Park kid. Weird.

Re: "Pacific" (Band of Brothers "sequel") a go?

Damn, I missed out. Looks like HBO has removed every trailer on the net. Why? Free advertising and word of mouth on this would be huge.

At any rate, I've spent about 15 minutes on Google to no avail, anyone know of a place to see the trailer? You would think HBO would have it on their own site but they don't (to my knowledge).

According to Tom Hanks, it looks like a March 2010 schedule.

Re: "Pacific" (Band of Brothers "sequel") a go?

Tom Hanks + HBO Miniseries = Gold

From The Earth To The Moon, Band Of Brothers, and John Adams were all great. Really looking forward to this one too.

Re: "Pacific" (Band of Brothers "sequel") a go?

I loved this show. First DVR'ed it from History channel and kept those episodes on my drive for a couple of years until I got the DVD set for a good price, watching parts over and over. Upgraded to the BluRay last Black Friday and sold my DVD set for almost the same price so it worked out. Wonder what the delay on the BluRay will be this time for the Pacific series.
