I just assumed that Digital Shorts is trying to replace TV Funhouse as the shittiest thing on SNL.

As for the WU joke about the "Completely Heterosexual" politician, I liked John Stewart's joke better.

Cold Open: Reading Valentines with the Chenney's
I liked this cold open. Had just the right amount of humor mixed with politics.

Monologue
What is with the song-ologues this season. Song #1.

Bronx Beat
There are bugs in my eyelids!

Digital Short: Popping Up Andy
Ladies and gentlemen, the fun has left the show...

Assagio's ft. Benjamin Telurine
Song #2... ugh! (At least he can sing.) "This is the song that never ends..."

Commercial Parody: Urigrow
Still funny.

Animal Planet's "Man vs. Beast" Tournament
David Angelitis vs. Mountain Lion (This sketch is too graphic to talk about.) At first I thought it was going to be funny, but I was very wrong...

Keith Urban: "Stupid Boy"
I like this song.

Weekend Update
We get the honorable Reverends takes on Barak Obama. I found it pretty hilarious. As for the joke about the "Completely Heterosexual" politician, I liked John Stewart's joke better. Didn't care for the Astronaut bit... he was trying too hard, but the 'tang' joke was funny. And Seth's string of casino related birthing jokes was painfully bad.

Whitney Houston's Valentine Special
... I forgot Forest was hosting until he walked on the set. Song #3. Enough already!

Game Show: "Am I A Crazy Street Person?"
Whitaker as the gullible contestant who believes all the lies... this would have been better with another host. All I have to say is nice hair Keenan.

Keith Urban: "Once in a Lifetime"
Good song.

I really don't care...
I give up.

This episode was pure crap. The Assagio's bit saved it from being a complete failure... I give this ep a D. Forest was no help in any skit (sans the previously mentioned sketch) and was a waste.

I am shocked that outside of update there was no astronaut sketch. AICN said during rehearsal there was an Idi Amin sketch, can't imagine it was worse than the Whitney Houston sketch.

This was a horrible episode. Whitaker wasn't good, but in his defense the material he was given was terrible.

Sudeikis' interview in the Man vs. Animal sketch was the only part I laughed at.

Wow, that was a weak episode and FW a weak host. They both get a C.

Cheney Valentine
Just the Cheneys reading Valentines. I knew the skit was in trouble when they had to explain some jokes before they told them. D+

Monologue
Maya really hyping FW as host. Then they sing. A straight-up song, no irony. C+

Bronx Beat
Maya & Amy doing their chirpy Bronx housewives characters. I like them. FW had very little to do. He really is a marble mouth. B+

Digital Short
Andy Samberg popping into camera shots. Cute bit with Forte trying to horn in. Short & painless. B

Singing Waiter
FW annoying diners with a neverending song. B

Urigro
Repeat ad about helping urination. B

Man vs. Beast
FW was at his worst here, he really seemed to be struggling trying to enunciate. The skit was bad too, a contest of animals vs. humans just to see the spurting jugular vein effect. C-

Weekend Update
Good joke about how Hilary Clinton, upon hearing of Obama’s run for the presidency, punched a pillow so hard it turned into a diamond. Hammond & Thompson came on as Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton comparing Obama to the black scale. Sudeikis as the pompous astronaut in the NASA love triangle. B+

Whitney Houston Valentine
Absolutely terrible. Rudolph was annoying as heck and didn’t even sound anything like Whitney. Thompson was okay in drag (of course) as Chaka Khan. FW as…I don’t even know who, I couldn’t understand a single word he said. Oh, he sings again. F+ (plus is for Thompson)

Am I A Crazy Street Person?
Game show with FW as a terrible player. C

SI Zoo
Some nonsense about sloths. I don’t even know what the joke was. D-

i like mr. Whitaker but he was awful on SNL due to the shitty writing. personally half if not more of the SNL cast just plain pisses me off, there not funny, there annoying.

if i were Whitaker i would never speak of being on SNL and say it wasn't me, i dont know why he wanted to do SNL?

I'm honest surprised NBC hasn't tried a reality show to pick a future SNL host and/or featured player. Could be an interesting gimmick to have a normal person host the show for once, instead of a celebrity, but I'm sure Lorne wouldn't go for it.

That sloth bit was killer.

One of the lines was, "We eat cocaine off America's tombstone!" and it showed a tombstone that read:

"AMERICA
1776 - 2007

SUCK IT!"

I dont think they could decide if they wanted Forrest Whittaker or Keith Urban has musical guests.

I have to agree. There is nothing I hate more than signing during sketches of SNL ESPECIALLY DURING THE MONOLOGUE.

Had they only had him sign during the restaurant sketch, this episode would have been a lot better. That being said, I liked Bronx Beat, the Digital Short, the restaurant sketch, Man vs Beast, the street person game and sloths.

Absolutely loved WU. Best one in a long time.

I like Forest Whitaker but didn't find him funny at all in SNL. However, I liked Bronx Beat and the astronaut bit in WU.

Are they making a large concession for the hearing-impaired on SNL now?

Cheney Valentine B+
I always have liked Hammond's Cheney. I bet even Cheney himself gets a kick out of it.

Monologue D-
Another crappy singing monologue. FW can actually sing, but no-talent Maya Rudolph annoys the crap out of me.

Bronx Beat F
Terrible.

Digital Short C
Strange, but that's the point. But not a lot there.

Singing Waiter C-
Wouldn't have seemed so bad if it wasn't for the monologue seemingly seconds earlier.

Urigro C-
Repeat of decent parody, but it was a repeat.

Man vs. Beast B-
Pretty good, a nutty idea with a sight gag payoff, except FW was really off.

Musical Guest F
No interest whatsoever

Weekend Update D
I was doing the usual FF, but saw Jesse/Al and watched them, and was not disappointed. Galdly skipped the rest though.

Whitney Houston Valentine F
Awful. HAve I mentioned I really cannot stand Maya Rudolph?

Am I A Crazy Street Person? B+
Not bad. Better than a gawd-awful A-holes or Target sketch.

Musical Guest F
No interest whatsoever

SI Zoo B+
Not bad at all, especially for the throw-away slot. Could just as easily have been a good digital short.

Overall: The few decent bits mixed into a bunch of absolute dreck couldn't raise it enough to bring it up past a D+
