Why didn't my Comcast DVR record Earl tonight? That sucks, it sounds like it was good.

At times I wasn't sure if I was watching a fictional show, or a documentary about Latin America.

Yea I thought this episode was great. Joy going off on the neighbors was too funny. So was the Randy and Earl fight.

I also thought John Leguizamo was hilarious. "Are those Bugle Boy Jeans you're wearing?"

Yep - those were my favorite parts as well. John Leguizamo - great guess appearance.

I don't know, but I think it might have something to do with it being listed as 2 episodes earlier in the week but only one later in the week. I had to go into the series recording and "remind" my Comcast DVR to catch it. This is why I try my hardest to review what I'm recording the next few days every day.

I loved, "looks like a SlimJim, tastes like a doughnut" (in reference to a churro).

He played Martin Short's doctor in "Innerspace." Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

Indeed! That was a MAJOR eye-roller. I had to get a passport last year to visit China and start to finish it was about a 2 month process.

However, I'm told that if you really need to get to another country fast (death in the family or other emergency) you can speed up the process by paying a hefty fee. Maybe that's what Earl and Randy did (although I still don't think it could be done in an hour or 2 as shown).

I don't think it was a matter of hours. I think it was a day or two between flight attempts. Either way, for $336 total you can get your passport in 24 hours.

Great episode, my favorite part was how Nice Joy threatened to stop taking her happy pills and come back in 3 days to kick some ass.

And Randy doing the "Hey Earl. Yes Randy" bit in bed by himself.

It was a little long -I'm not enjoying this season as much as last- but the motion sensor keeping Crabman awake made it all worth it.

This two episodes are probably the most I've laughed at a show since Arrested Development. Hilarious.

I felt that this season's episodes have been subpar compared to the first season but the two episodes this week were great.

The thing that stand out for me was the music in these episodes especially the beginning when "Hotel California" was playing when Earl and Randy was packing, then the music switched to the Spanish version of "Hotel California" by the Gypsy Kings when it switched to the Latin version of Earl and Randy talking.

Plus the Spanish version of Time after Time and Randy singing some verses in Spanish.

I wonder if they are going to be included on the 2nd season DVD release.

Glad somebody else caught that. It was awesome. When i heard the gypsy kings version i had a sudden urge to go bowling. not sure why.

Surprised i havent seen this mentioned, but that was Rosario from Will and Grace playing the mother of manuel/randy, right?

That was great, as was all of the music in the episode. I just hope it survives to DVD.

I love the music transition thing. I must confess my favorite is the Live and Let Die one in Grosse Pointe Blank.

I thought so but wasn't sure.

I felt the same. Earl & Randy going thru the tests to marry Catalina were hilarious.
