SNL 10/07/06 - (H) Jaime Pressly (M) Corrine Bailey Rae

Jaime should be a good host, but I have a feeling that she's going to relying heavily on the cue cards.

... and I have no idea who the musical guest is. Oh well...

Rumor for host/musical guest for November 18th is... Ludacris. He'll be pulling double duty.

Wow. That should be stunning. The double duty episodes are usually brutal even in good years.

SNL isn't funny. Having the SNL writers write 90 minutes of "redneck" jokes is even less funny (you know they will)

Um, if it was a secret, it seems the answer would have to be that she isn't showing.

For those who don't know, Corrine Bailey Rae is some over-hyped british artist who has a song on the radio called "Put Your Records On". Think of her as a black Norah Jones except that she's even more boring and doesn't have as much talent as Norah.

If one British artist deserves some insight into at the moment, it should definitely be Lilly Allen. Cool hearing her on this week's Grey's Anatomy.

Lorne must have seen her playing on a street corner outside of a Starbucks. I can't imagine she'd fill a bigger venue than that.

This episode is bombing hard tonight. I missed the opening sketch (I'm guessing it was Bush or Foley related), only the Nancy Grace sketch was mildly amusing.

I'd much rather listen to her than any rapper or pop band they'd book..

I can't believe this is possible, but I think this show is worse without Fey.

That 'Nascarette' bit was one of the most God awful things I've ever seen.

The funniest thing about Big Wigs is that they thought the idea of it was good.

It's official, I'm going to stop recording this show. Big Wigs, WTF... I remember a sketch similar to that regarding a cat company and Will Ferrell, even though it came on at 12:55 it was still better than all this crap.

Oh my god, sketches about movies from 20 years ago... Rosie Perez... NY Stories... Nascarettes... Who's writing this shit and they're replaying the season opener next week... Couldn't even do a "best of" show for the 3rd timeslight of the season... just plain lazy.

Alright, so I'm watching this on DVR-delay, and currently, I'm watching the "Jon Bovi" sketch...

Is it just me, or are Forte and Sudekis just glaring at the cue cards? And, I don't mean glancing here and there, but never breaking eye contact with the cards? It is horrible.

Jaime looked pretty pissed introducing the band just now, she must've realized this show is sucking hard.

I started watching tonight when Meyers almost got booed for the Bill Frist joke during WU, looks like I should have followed my instincts and stopped right there.
