Attack of the Show appreciation thread
It's soon going to be a new year and it's time to throw away the hate for AOTS and embrace the best talk show on tv. For the next 2 weeks, they're going to show clip shows of their best moments. I've seen every episode of TSS/AOTS since Pereira started doing the show and I'm still excited to watch the clip shows. I'm especially looking forward to the second week with the skit show and the one with commentary. All these episodes are also going to run in a marathon on new year's day.

I don't think you're going to have a lot of company on that island of love for AOTS.

Well nny, you enjoy yourself. I've gotta agree with Derrich on this one.
I've seen a handful of episodes and they've never really grabbed my attention.

I watch it as much as i can. I LOVE AOTS. Everything about it.
Whatever happened to the people they were auditioning were co-hosts around late summer? I never heard anything more about after they had their auditions. |

Do not watch it because I do not enjoy it since all of the tech people left. If I want to watch a talk show I can watch Ellen.

I still always tune in for DVDusedays (Don't know If I spelled that right) but every now and then, can't help checking in on any other day when/if I get the chance. "Drunk Vader" was a good highlight. Anybody see that one?

Some of the "skits" wear thin on me, but the regular segments usually hold a lot of interest for me. I also really like the laid back feel of the show anymore. I think Kevin is hilarious and really good just going with the flow and witty. Actually, I was just catching up on this past week's shows today through my Tivo and the thought occured to me...."Does Sarah Lane seem like an idiot because Kevin is so good at the job, or does he just seem good at the job because she sucks so much?" I may never know......

Not to crap but...
I tried to like this show, but it all boils down to Kevin (not Rose). I really dislike that guy, and it seems every chance he gets he bitches about something...hell almost anything. I've tried lately but the show seems like its trying WAY too hard to be something its not, ya know entertaining?

Hehe, Kevin bitches about stuff too much? My biggest problem with Kevin is that he's mellowed too much. I miss the old days when he was doing an internet radio show and the main focus was ranting about what was wrong with the game industry. I didn't always agree with him, but he was always entertaining. He's done a couple podcasts in the past year and he's able to be a little more raw there, but it's still not the same.
It was on one of his podcasts that I found out about the cohost situation. They basically feel the chemistry on the show is great right now and they really want to get the perfect person for the job. G4 is willing to wait and they're always going to be on the lookout for another cohost, but it's not a priority. I find it weird that they have kept around Will, who I thought was the worst of the cohosts. I guess he's mainly doing behind the scenes stuff. I really liked Anthony Carboni, but Kevin, Brendan, and Sarah are so great together, I don't care if they get another cohost or not. Although, if there was another cohost, I guess that might mean a little less Chris Gore. I don't have a problem with him, but I don't like him that much either. It's funny that scottall brought up Jimmy the Geek. I think that's the only thing I don't like on aots. Of course I'm not into sports at all, but it is surprising that keep bringing it back. |

AotS is perhaps the most retarded show on TV. By retards for retards. I used to love TechTV and watched TSS from day one all the way til it was bought out by Comcast. When that happened I wrote Leo telling him it was the end, 3 days later he wrote a statement on leoville about how it was the end, sure enough it was.
TSS was the last tech show on TV for real people capable of using the small amount of grey matter they have. |

I also now only watch for the Tuesday DVD segments (which sure seem to be getting shorter with each passing week).

I'll have it on when I'm cooking dinner - it's really hit or miss. The Brendan guy makes me laugh - especially his book-club thing.

Three years later - anyone watch this? I think the show really got 1000x better once they got rid of that ugly blonde chick and got Olivia Munn. They do less skits these days, but I don't really miss them. I think this is seriously one of the best daily shows on television.
Or maybe it's just cuz I'm in love with Olivia.

yep, I watch it. I love the fact that it is live. Kevin Perierra is great... very quick wit... and, of course Oliva Munn... Chris Hardwick is such a snarky, dry, sarcastic bastard, I have to say I'm starting to love him too.
They need DVDuesday everyday, IMO. and they need to stop taking 2 minutes to recap "The Feed" headlines then go to a commercial, then come right back and take 2 minutes to do "The Feed". Olivia Munn ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

So what, this is basically lesbian porn? Why would I want to watch that?

Hell yes. I love AOTS. Watch it every day. Started this past January. Now where the hell are the Layla Kayleigh pics in this thread..... I swear she is a live action DOA girl, she doesn't even move and her boobs bounce.

Got into this show last year when I discovered Ninja Warrior. I check in for the first 15 minutes and unless something is coming up that I really want to see I usually tune out. Thats not supposed to be a put down, but the Around the Net is the best part of the show. Oh yeah Olivia Munn and all the other chick are smokin (yes even Blair)

Count me in as another AOTS fan. It is a dvr daily record item.
I think Olivia and Kevin have great chemistry and utterly fast wit. Plus the Olivia and Layla are pretty easy on the eyes. Last edited by maxpower; 03-28-08 at 02:55 PM. |
