The Amazing Race - 7/20/04

Two Teams form an alliance, and when one duo gets stuck, their allies help. When the tables are turned, will the favor be returned, or will the alliance be betrayed?

Tensions come to a boil as two Teams fight in an airport.

One frustrated Team struggles with a task while other Teams fly past them. Will this mean elimination?

Faced with a harrowing task, one Racer is paralyzed by fear and declares, "I can't do it."

Tonight at 10:00 PM EST.
Don't forget.

Whom do you think will get eliminated tonight ?
It think it will be Bob & Joyce.

Looking forward to it. I think it's probably the bowling moms, too.

I watched the first two seasons of TAR, but for some reason I couldn't find the time to watch the others. I've really gotten back into it with this season, though. And I also think the bowling moms will go.

I'm not sure who will actually go but there's a vast number of teams that I find really annoying and can't wait till they go (the "dating models", the super annoying girl and her little person cousin, the brothers from New York). This is the first season I've watched this show and while I enjoy it, the super fast paced editing gets a little annoying. It is starting to grow on me though.

This episode has proven to me that Mirna is in love with Phil. "Does our hair look alright?" Great comic relief...

My favorite team is gone. They almost had me crying and my wife was practically in tears thinking about her late father.

I guess I will root for Team AARP and/or Colin & Christie.

Lamest episode ever. Airport B.S. esssentially deciding this one. Then the remaining challenges all involving no skill or real effort whatsoever (including the no-brainer decision of whether to paraglide or bike).

The most likeable team loses. I'll be rooting for Colin and Christie here on out.

I completely agree, there's never a dull moment with those two.

Another entertaining episode. I also like the Military Dad and daughter team. Too bad they got eliminated.

All the entertaining portions of this episode took place in the first 10 minutes when Charla got juiced, how stupid they were for stopping in the middle of mud, and when they were called bitches by the doughboys.

Exactly.

How can they have a challenge that no one is going to take such as the bike ride? They should have made it harder to get to the paraglide to make some of the teams think twice about taking it.

Though it seemed they made a race of it, Jim and Marsha were screwed at the airport.

The driveby bitch calling

I'm sorry to see the father/daughter team go. I was hoping that they could catch the doughboys.

Mirna seems to be the new reality show villianness. But they are totally hilarious. I swear that when the little chocolate maker saw Charla, he looked like he was in love.

What else can you expect from a team that acts so slimy? If anyone does anything against them, then they are prejudiced or are not "god-fearing." The whole doctor thing ... ick.

And I never bought the edit job that made it seem much closer. Oh and where the **** is the FF? Have they totally gotten rid of this feature? If they ever needed it, it was tonight.

I can't believe the military dad and daughter got screwed out of the stand by ticket. They got on the list for the 9:10 flight first. Since when do airports not operate on first come first serve. That "doctoro" bit that team midget pulled was disgusting. At least the other team that got the tickets just asked to be at the top of the list. Sad to see my favorite team go. They couldn't have been too far behind, they saw one of the other teams coming down off the mountain. That is some good ground they closed starting an hour behind.

The FF is MIA and they need to find it ASAP. I'd rather see the FF used frequently than the new gimmick they introduced in the opener where you can pick a team behind you and delay them.

Yeah the midget jokes were pretty obvious tonight, they didn't even require the effort.

I am really starting to get annoyed by those two though. Now I'm not sure who to root for, maybe the internet couple or the soccer twins. The Detour wasn't much of a decision, and I kinda wish it hadn't come down to one group getting screwed on the flight. Oh well, still an entertaining show.

Did it say where they go next week? Looked like someplace in Europe.
