Karen Sisco 10/29/03
Still digging the overall tone and vibe of this show (and tonight's episode). I like the way the dialogue reveals characters's stories (genuine or fabricated), and how the development of the case leads to different resolutions and outcomes. The writing and acting of this show are very engaging to me.

Good episode.
I'm glad her father played a bigger role then just talking to her on the phone this ep. I agree about the writing and acting. Very good so far this season. |

My favorite part of the show, besides Carla, is Robert Forrester. He is so perfect for this role and does an amazing job every week, whether they give him just a little to do or a lot. |
Yup, this is a really good show. I love the atmosphere, and the characters are all interesting.

It's Prez!!! (a little shout out to fans of The Wire.)
That whole plot reminded me of the guy that John Glover played on The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd who always claimed to be her cousin, was remembered by everybody in her family, but she didn't know from Adam  Nice to see Sarah Brown again. |
For anyone who wants to reminisce - this ep will be on the USA network Tuesday night, March 2, at 12 am/11 pm Central.

It's not coming back - ABC shit-canned it while it was on hiatus.
I guess USA is just airing the eps on Tuesday nights. |

I know this is a tangent, but TBS is showing "Son-In-Law" and I had forgotten that Carla Gugino was the female lead in this movie. Plus she dyed her hair blonde for the part. I had a hard time imaging Carla in her college days (especially after seeing her as the tough federal marshall on "Karen Sisco").

Anyway, back on subject (sorta), I was glad to see Gugino in this again. It had been 10 years since I saw this one and never knew who she was back then. I can't believe how much she's aged. I mean, she just looks more "grown up" now. She's not old by any stretch, being in her early 30's... but she looked so much younger then. I guess that's probably stating the obvious, but it was just weird to me. |
