NYPD Blue, HDTV, and Closed Captions

Did anyone else have trouble with the HDTV signal last night?

Also, I noticed that for the last few weeks the closed captions are only coming on like in the last ten minutes or so of the show. Has anyone else noticed this, or would this be a local ABC affiliate thing?

I don't know how our CC work with our HDTV transmitter, sorry. It may just be your affiliate or it may be ABC. I can ask one of our engineers tomorrow, he knows everything.

Thanks! It drives me crazy when the captions do that! It's bad enough that with our Dish TV, captions are not as good as they should be (on ALL the channels!), but I've never had a problem with the HDTV tuner (Samsung) and captions.
