Personally, I thought that Whitecaps was an overrated Sopranos episode, but what do I know? Doesn't suprise me that it won though...

I had it down at #14, but it was a damn fine episode. Personally, I thought the best writing of the year was Six Feet Under's 'Perfect Circles', which didn't even get nominated. I guess it went over too many heads to get enough attention.

Agreed. Perfect Circles was a great episode, and at the least deserved a nomination.
