Tough Crowd with Quinn - Renewed

Comedy Central Renews Colin Quinn's Deal

By The Associated Press

NEW YORK - It's a tough crowd, but Colin Quinn (news) will be navigating it for at least another year.

Comedy Central announced Monday that it had renewed the comic's late-night show, "Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn," through the end of 2004.

The show is aired Monday through Thursday at 11:30 p.m. ET following Jon Stewart (news)'s "The Daily Show," and is a forum for comics taking on topical issues.

"The television landscape is littered with falsely compassionate, hypocritical and pandering double standards that masquerade as intelligent and edgy," the 44-year-old Quinn said. "Comedy Central is giving us the opportunity to continue in that great tradition."
