Most of my friends HATE this show. A couple of them liked Seinfeld but many of them also didn't like Seinfeld. I can't figure out why people wouldn't like this. It's great fun.

HBO just started re-airing this from the beginning this weekend, episode 2 airs tonight on HBO Comedy East 6:30CST and 10:00CST I do not know what time this will air on HBO Comedy West.
I missed this starting yesterday, I caught the pilot Sunday, and saw this was starting just today, so I will get to catch this from the start to see if I like it as much as the pilot.

I'm a huge fan of this show. I recently started to get my girlfriend to watch them with me. We watched The Acupuncturist last night, and she almost died from laughing.

I thought Seinfeld was an okay show....I enjoyed the complicated plot premises, but the only character I liked even a little bit was Elaine....
I can't stand Jerry Seinfeld....he is soooo not funny.
but I LOVE Curb Your Enthusiasm....definitely one of my top ten comedies.

I guess this is kind of like a US version of The Office. Not that I mean it resembles the show in format, but it relies on the same peering-through-the-fingers, cringing type of humour, and it obviously divides people over in the US the same way people feel about The Office here in the UK. (I am a big fan of The Office myself)
This started showing on BBC over here about 3 years ago, and I never watched it. Probably because of the Seinfeld connection, because I was never a fan.
But then about a year ago, my brother asked if I had seen it and was raving about it. He lent me season 1, and I was hooked.
I have not seen Season 2 (my brother had that but he lives quite a way from me), but I did buy season 3 recently on DVD and really enjoyed that too (love the "swearing" finale). Now I just have to arrange to get his copy of season 2, and swap it for my season 3.

I loved the line from "Club Soda and Salt" when Larry makes a big deal about Cheryl mentioning that "Larry's in the car" when she is on the speaker phone with Brad. "We can't talk dirty now because Larry's in the car." That scene demontrated his jealous paranoia in such a comical way.

I honestly don't see how anyone could sit through "The Survivor" without having to pause it a few times to catch your breath. Possibly the funniest half hour of TV I've ever seen.

I haven't started watching season three yet so I haven't seen "Club Soda". I see "Survivor" is season four.
I've gotta watch this set and vol. 2 of SCTV right quick!

What happened at the end of the Jesus, Joseph and Mary? My dvr cut out at the end right after
I watched the whole series and loved it. My wife could not stand it, but she HATES George and when I told her this was the real life version, she saw why she hated the show. I love every second Wanda Sykes is on.
Anyone know how close Larry is to his show self? Is Lewis and Danson really good friends?
Spoiler:

Sorry to pull up an ancient thread, but I just finished the first season of CYE - a blnd buy after hearing friends really talk it up.
Holy crap. I flew through the season in 2 nights, and was absolutely rolling during these episodes. How it took me this long to discover this show is beyond me. Running out to get season 2 just as soon as I possibly can.

You'll find that CYE has great re-watch value as well. I've enjoyed subsequent viewings as I've picked up on subtle "Larry-isms" that eluded me on the first viewing.

Help me out here. I'll name 3 episodes and you fans can tell me how they rate compared to the others. I found all of these pretty mediocre.
The one with Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen invite them to a Paul Simon concert
They go to an old friend's house for dinner who used to be a porn star (Bob Oedenkirk?)
Larry and Richard Lewis fight over this ring at a jewelry store.

the first 2 arent that great...
the ring episode...if its the one with the blind guy is one of the best from season 1...season 4 with Jesus the gardner and the crucifix was my fav in a while!
