South Park Movie to Be Shown Uncut on Comedy Cental 7/4

I was watching Comedy Central last night and they came on with an advertisment for "South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut" to be on July 4th, but then they said it would be uncut! I wonder if it will actually be completely uncut or not.

I saw that too and I doubt it will be totally uncut. It will be a first for non HBO, Showtime..etc channels to have that much profanity. In other words. I can't wait!

Just to let you all know, TNN uncut is bleep the f word only and blur the nudity, but no scene is indeed "cut"

To me, bleeping and blurring is very much "cutting" the film.

Oh how I love self-righteous people The CAPAlert review of this movie is one of the finest pieces of writing, ever.

(edited to spoilerize, just in case).

SUMMARY / COMMENTARY:

Spoiler:

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (R) -- WARNING! This analysis is blunt. South Park is another movie straight from the smoking pits of Hell.

South Park is an incredibly dangerous movie for those who do not understand or are developing an understanding of the Gospel ....... INCREDIBLY dangerous.

Satan is portrayed as the homosexual lover of Saddam Hussein and is portrayed as a sensitive, loving and caring being. Hussein waves his disembodied male member around. And it was not a cardboard drawing like most other images of the movie -- it was of photographic resolution. The most foul of the foul words was clearly spoken by the children at least 131 times and many other times in a muffled or garbled way. The three/four letter word vocabulary was used at least 119 times. God's name in vain was used 11 times without the four letter expletive and 6 times with it. And many times the child characters were saying things like "What's the big deal" (about the foul language). "Suck my --", "Let's ([****]sexual intercourse)", and repeated questions about a female private organ were but a very few of the vulgar expressions used by the kids.

Angels were portrayed as females - nude, very nude. God was called many vulgar and hateful names. Satan was glorified. Jesus was equated with sexual anatomy. A child was graphically incinerated by igniting his flatulence, then another kid tried to beat out the flames with a stick and was concerned about the stick catching fire. Body parts dripping with blood were ripped from a child by a surgeon who expressed shallow concern. The dead child was then seen with an exploded chest. The dead child, after being rejected from Heaven (by nude female angels) and cast into Hell (which is a violation of Scripture in and of itself), was then presented as a ghost trying to influence the other kids. An all-male chorus line wore pink bikini briefs. Homosexual acts were described. Decomposing burned bodies were cast as live occupants of Hell. "Big brother" electronic shock control of a child was used to prevent his use of foul language (each time he cussed he was shocked -- he used this shock later to defeat Hussein by shouting every known and several unknown foul words). A man committed suicide by jumping out of a window. And throughout the movie was script to promote licentious belittlement of wholesome life and entertainment: rationale to lessen even further the threshold of acceptance.

These are but a very few of the examples of ignominy in this sinematic cyanoide developed in the fiery pits of Hell. And the kids in the audience loved it, almost as much as the adults with them. May God have mercy on us.

That is all I will say about the content this extraordinarily vulgar, vile, and repugnant movie. Other examples are just too vulgar and vile to even try to describe without being as vulgar and vile. Please note that the final score of 29 is not the lowest of scores earned by the movies we have analyzed, but this movie has earned the most severe CAP Influence Density (ID) of over 600 movies: a CAP ID of 10.65! Natural Born Killers (R) earned a CAP Influence Density of 7.46! Most R-rated movies earn CAP IDs between 1.00 and 3.00. A child cannot escape being influenced by this useless .......

Seriously; are you sure they said it would be shown "uncut" and were not simply calling the movie by its proper name: South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut?

Yes. I saw the ad a couple times, and they definitely said it'll be airing on network television for the first time UNCUT. As DGibFan said, they're showing it at 1 in the morning, so they can probably get away with more than if they were showing it in prime time.

Of course it's a moot point to me because I have the DVD, so I can watch it uncut any time I want, and in its OAR.

Ummm... right... You do realize fsck and shed are two totally different words. But then again, when you have a god fearing forum that edits the word ba$tard and replaces it w/ idiot, a "much less" offensive word, shed does have the same weight as fsck.

Anyway, there's no way comedy channel will air SP movie unedited. Not that it matters to children who don't sleep 'til 3-4 in the morning and are experts in profanity, but think of the amount of complains comedy channel will get if church lady and soccer moms come back from their part time "dancer" job at 2AM and catches the uncler fscker song...

NM, must be the other church going forum.

Why all the excitement? If it's your favorite movie, don't you own the DVD?

Yeah, I realize that they are two different words, but I think that if Comedy Central went that far (in that episode - which they promoted as using the S-word), what's to stop them from going (admittedly, a lot) further? Good press, bad press - it's all about publicity and getting Comedy Central's name out there.

Not that I will watch. I already own the DVD and at air time I'll be sleeping so I can catch an early morning flight to Hilton Head.

The promo I saw said the movie would be shown "Uncensored," not "uncut." If I remember right the only time they said "uncut" was when they referred to the title (as in "bigger, longer & uncut). So they ARE touting it as being uncensored. However I have serious doubts that they'll show it without any bleeps or blurs. No matter what time of the night they show it, there's no way they're gonna drop the f-bomb and show Saddam waving his weiner around.

While other major shows have made it to the air uncut (Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan come to mind) I can't imagine the FCC letting Comedy Central get away with dropping the "f-bomb" so many times in one movie.

I'd love to see it happen, because I firmly believe that words are just words. When you "ban" one word but allow another that describes the very same thing, that's just stupid.

Yeah, I want to stay up until 1am to watch an 89 min. movie inflated to 2 hrs. after all the crappy late night commericals are stuck in it just because it's "cool to see it on tv."

Seriously, if anyone wants to see this uncut and hasn't yet should just BUY it! It should be in everyone's collection. It was on sale for under $9 at Best Buy last week!

Punch and pie.

Isn't it so much fun to judge others because they don't do things like you think they should?

How about just keeping your yap shut next time?
