Is Ryan Seacrest gay? Jimmy Kimmel called him out on it.

Anyone watch Jimmy Kimmel live the other night? Ryan Seacrest was on it, and he probably regrets it.

Kimmel showed a clip of Seacrest on the Maxim top 100 show, where Seacrest says, "Hi, I'm Ryan Seacrest, and contrary to popular opinion, I do women!".

Kimmel said,"Why'd you say that?"

"As a joke" Seacrest says.

"But you say it all the time, constantly"- Kimmel

Ryan didn't know what to say. They went down the list of things that Ryan does that are questionable:

He waxes his eyebrows
He dies his hair blonde
His clothing choices
The way he talks-- Seacrest said that him, Randy, and Simon get together and "Gossip". Also, you could tell that Seacrest was trying to find ways to make himself look straight. Paula Abdul became the topic of discussion, and all the sudden Ryan blurts out, "Man, she is so hot." It seemed unconvincing, like he was obviously saying it to try and win Jimmy over. Then Ryan talked about what he was wearing. "I'm wearing a "T"(his shirt), some stone wash, and some tennies (pronounced 'ten-ees', his shoes). It all sounded like how a chick would talk!

If he is gay, I don't care. I just think it's funny that Jimmy called him out on it, and Ryan was obviously embarrased.

Also, a few months ago on American Idol, didn't Simon make an off the cuff remark about Ryan being with a guy. And that comment apparently made Ryan noticeably uncomfortable.....

And, according to Hollywood, if you're homophobic you're gay. That just about covers everyone.

Who the heck is Ryan Seacrest?

Oh. Googled him and found out he is a no talent ass-clown who hosts third rate tv shows.

A lot of male celebrities are. Didn't Mike Piazza hold a press conference a while ago to announce he wasn't gay?

He hosts "American Idol" and "American Juniors", but his real job is afternoon DJ for an adult contemporary radio station in LA. He also did some of those random VH1 specials in the mid-90s.

Why is everyone so quick to assume that a man with effeminate qualities is automatically gay? What if he's just heterosexual who likes to keep himself prime and well maintained?

Now as for people asking why he doesn't just "come out," well gee, maybe it's not such an easy thing to do considering that homosexuality is still not widely accepted and routinely made fun of.

There is this rigid, narrow definition of male behavior and appearance, that if any individual strays away from, he is automatically labeled a closet fairy or worse. Just a couple of weeks ago there was an unsavory thread about the possibility that one of the Wachowski brothers, creators of the Matrix films, was a pending transexual. I have low expectations from some members of the "Otter" forum, but some of the stuff being said in that thread were downright vile and ignorant.

Anyway, whether Mr. Seacrest is gay or not is none of the my goddamned business. He can and should do whatever makes him happy, as each one of us is entitled to. Some may say that they don't care if he is, but by merely asking, you are actually caring.

I honestly could not care less.

Here, let me check on that -- nope. There is absolutely no way I could ever find myself caring less.

I care a hell of a lot! It totally changes the way I thought of him before and now! Before he was a guy who my female cousin had the hots for; now he's a guy who my female cousin and my 'effiminate' man friend have the hots for. The whole world is upside down!

I care because I believe that all celebrities have no right to privacy, and I have am entitled to know whatever I want about them, because they are public figures, and it's part of their job. Plus, I get to pass judgement on complete strangers and criticize them on anything and everthing related to them.

Well, hey, I figure I deserve something after paying $18 for a CD or $10 for a movie, or $50 for cable tv.

All I care is that he's NOT that no-talent Kelly Clarkson. That alone gives him props in my book.

Jimmy Kimmel seems to have many problems including a sinking television show that probably won't be picked up after this contract runs out.

Oh, sorry. My initial reaction to the thread was to imply that people who constantly obsess over whether or not this or that celebrity are gay probably have real issues with their own sexual identity. Then I thought better of it, and just thought I would imply that decent, intelligent people -- like myself -- really should just say, "Hey! It's none of my business, as long as he keeps doing the job he is paid to do."

Probably my comment did come across as a thread crap, but then, I think it's a crappy thread to begin with, and one that I think goes against the grain of what this forum is all about. (IMO)

I'm gay and could care less if he is gay. I think he is a tool.
