C.S.I. 05/15/03 Season Finale

Episode Title: 'Inside The Box'

Spoiler:
Things get personal for the CSIs in the top-rated series' third-season finale, which explores the intersection of the investigators' work and their personal lives. Three masked bandits steal a safe-deposit box from a Las Vegas bank in a daring daytime heist, during which Det. Lockwood is killed. Lockwood's death provides Grissom and his crew with added incentive to find the murderous culprits. But the case really hits home for Catherine when the evidence leads to casino owner Sam Braun, who is like a father to her. Also, Grissom's hearing gets progressively worse and he seeks out Dr. Robbins for help.

Sounds like a good one!

Spoiler:
Who is Det Lockwood?

Could someone put spoiler in the title so we don't have to discuss this in the shadows

It looks like Entertainment Weekly has gone to the NBC Promotions School of Misleading Teases.

It was an OK episode, a little dissapointing considering that is was the season finale.

The case was good, but I could care less about the Catherine/Casino dad story

And nothing happened between Grissom and Sara? I was waiting the whole episode to see if anything would happen. They barely spoke to each other! What a tease last week

My guess for next season is that Greg will join the field (obviously) and Grissom will stay back and do lab work.

This show is so fresh to me that i love every episode. I thought both tonight were great... Good choice of a rerun too since it foreshadowed his decision in the finale.

I did find the "The CSI lose one of their own" ad to be a bit deceptive since i had never heard of the guy.

Can't wait till monday's Miami finale.

I thought it was good.

The writers can't seem to figure out if they want to put Grissom with Catherine or Sara. I think him and Catherine are a better fit.

Is Jorja Fox pregnant or not??..Her tummy is getting larger IMO

Iwas sad to see that black cop go but he was only a recurring character anyway. You know there not going to kill off one of the lead stars unless they decide to pull a Caruso..

The studio does not want to mess with the chemistry especially since it`s the No 1 show on tv

Catherine`s casaino Friend Sean Braun who raised her turned out to be her real dad as per DNA test. He was having an affair with some stripper and he ended up killing her than hired thaT ex military guy to to do the robbery at the bank..

In th other storyline Grissom decided to finally have surgery for his hearing

Ok - after watching the show the cop was "Tiki Barber" At least that's what I called him because I never knew his real name.

I don't think that that is "One of their own"

The case was kind of stupid. - Why the hell was the scarf left in the desert... how did the CSI's find the dead men in the middle of the desert?? I would assume that the drop off point would have been in the middle of nowhere.

Just a hokey case - but the ending was OK - I hate cliff hangers or unrealistic endings that the new season must address once it begins

I for one don't want to see any "hooking up." I like that professional tension - like X-Files had.

Average episode - especially for a season finale.

Last season's finale introduced Grissom's hearing defect and the big plot device with this year's season finale is that he does something about it - lame.

I agree, especially for a show like this unless they do it the way Law & Order did it with Jack & Claire.

We needed Lady Heather to show up and whip some sense into Grissom.

Hmmmm.... okay episode. Some notes:

* Nice continuity. They followed up on last week's explosion episode with Grego still wearing bandaids and shaking.
* It was interesting how bad Grissom's hearing got through some areas of the show.
* Interesting that Lady Heather was able to pick up on Grissom's hearing loss right away, but that most of CSI didn't suspect anything.
* Still, Grissom's departure for surgury was low-key... just how he wanted it.

Average episode.

good episode, but not great for a season finale. they will probably start back up next season w/ the hearing thing, maybe allowing greg to go into the field.

I don't watch the show as much as I used to but was wondering if they ever followed up on Grissom's relationship with her.

I think there was only two episodes with Lady Heather in it. Is she the most popular guest star on CSI?

No. They had that serial killer guy on an episode of season 1 and an episode of season 2, I think. He was never caught, if I remember correctly.
