They're Airing SHOWGIRLS... on VH-1???

Maybe it's just me, but... why on earth would anyone show the movie Showgirls on a basic cable channel with no nudity. No nudity! The entire point to Showgirls was Elizabeth Berkely and Gina Gershon... walking around naked.

That's as bad as TBS showing Striptease or any network airing 9 1/2 Weeks. What, do they think we're tuning in for the witty dialogue???

I love how they digitally "paint" clothes on the actresses in several of the dance scenes. It's really kind of a surreal treat to watch how butchered this "classic" is on network TV.

I'll just watch it on the Canadian station I get on cable here in Buffalo
it was on one night a couple years ago at around 1am. uncut with full nudity
only editing I found was being full screen and commercial breaks

VH1 has showed it about 3, 4, 5 times before.

I always watch because it makes absoutely no sense. The part where she kicks that singers ass:

She suddenly has a knife in her hand kicking him around. We don't even see the fully clothed lesbian kiss at the end.

But it is more comical when aired on VH1...love those painted on bras.
