Dawson's Creek - 4 hours/day on TBS

FYI, today started the marathon showing of all of the Dawson's Creek episodes starting with season 1 (this morning) and will continue until they catch up to Season 5 (I think, last season).

TBS is showing 4 episodes back-to-back-to-back-to-back each weekday starting at 8 a.m. EST.

I've got my ReplayTV set up to record the first 3 seasons of episodes.

Because of "Dawson's Creek", TBS is now only showing one daily episode of "Little House on the Prairie" instead of two! I feel a Nellie tantrum coming on!

Honk!

I just finished watching the 1st 4 episodes from season 1, and they are really funny for the first 3, and then it's a bit of a downer on the 4th one.

Well, Matlock's been on TBS forever, so maybe they decided people needed a breather.

Was the original Dawson's Creek run in widescreen? Because the Tbs version looks incorrectly framed in a lot of shots and some other shots just look off almost as if stretched or squeezed in some scenes.

Season One of Dawson's Creek came out yesterday as well, so you can catch up if you missed the first couple of days of episodes.

I did notice on the 1st day of shows, the framing was off, it made everyone shorter and fatter. But the framing from yesterday's shows seemed more normal. But I'm digging this show, though it's totally over the top melodramatically. The dialogue is pretty entertaining.

Good Idea to catch them this way, especially given how bad dvd looks.

I have no idea how I'll be able to watch them all. Thank goodness I increased my recording capacity (hard drive) in my ReplayTV this past weekend!

I'm now through 8 episodes, but won't be able to watch much tonight (since I'm going to see Michael Jordan's last appearance at Philips Arena in Atlanta), so tomorrow I'll be behind by 8 episodes as well. Sheesh! This 4 episodes/day schedule is insane!

I thought my head was going to explode with FX was playing 2 episodes of Buffy last year as I was trying to catch up with that show too.

And then to watch the current season's episode last night ("Sex and Violence") it's pretty humorous to see Dawson try to make a movie about his early teen years, the very ones I'm seeing now on TBS. I'm sure Dawson is going to slip in Pacey's affair with his teacher in that movie!

I caught a recent episode after not watching in a while... her face is noticeably skinnier. Not sure if that's a natural by-product of her growing up, or losing weight (booo), or what.

Katie had some baby fat going on in the early years on Dawson's Creek. So did Sarah Michelle Geller on the early 2 years of Buffy.

Both of which made them cuter and really hot.
Look for Katie this week in my bigjim's Girl of the Week thread.

Also Claire's wacko boyfriend on Six Feet Under (Eric Balfour) was on Dawson's Creek too. It's like a plethora of young actors getting their acting feet wet on this show.

Is it possible to OD on Dawson's Creek? I finally finished up the 20 hours from last week, and that's probably too much DC in a week.

I did enjoy seeing how Jack and Jen first meet (considering they become really good friends later).

There's some major teen angst drama going on in the early years. Oh, Dawson can be a real idealistic dummy sometimes.

Ah yes. His character Chris was on an episode this morning. I think he was in 4 or 5 episodes.

He's the one who told everyone at school that Joey put out for him, and Jen got the idea to go the distance with the lie and had him getting Joey preggers (by letting the Monica Keena spread the rumor), and the guy became the poster child for irresponsible teen daddyhood.
