Regis Philbin be will Guest Host on Friday's Late Show!

I am sure Regis won't have any trouble hosting the show. Maybe Kelly Ripa will drop by.

Guests scheduled to appear are: Charles Grodin, Susan Lucci, Greg Giraldo, and Kathleen Edwards.

The rotating host thing is kind of fun. It'll never happen, but maybe Letterman might consider doing this every now and then instead of a whole week of repeats.

Funny, I was just thinking that's who it would probably be. Of course the default guy is Regis and if this is the last planned guest host spot, they'd probably offer it to him.

I think I'll skip it in favor of the last night of Don King on Jimmy Kimmel's show. I haven't seen any of those this week and I imagine the last one could be good if Jimmy doesn't care to ever have the windbag back

Hey, Regis has to be better than McEnroe or Willis. Both seemed out of their element. I always enjoy Regis on the Late Show...too bad they couldn't get Richard Simmons to guest host!

Hopefully, we at least get Paul back tonight. Last night barely felt like the Late Show with both Paul and Dave gone.

Regis mentioned on his live morning show that Paul wasn't there. It seems that he taped the show yesterday.

Did not see Bruce Willis but heard he was pretty good. But McEnroe last night was brutal. He barely got through the monologue, and then he sucked with his interview so much it seemed like they had Tom Arnold stick around just to try to make it work.

That's standard procedure for the Late Show. They always tape two shows on Thursday. One around 2:30 PM EST and the other around 6:30.

At least Willis and McEnroe are better hosts than Kimmel. Kimmel's show Wednesday night was the biggest trainwreck of a talkshow I've ever seen.

Best thing I've heard about Kimmel's show was from Chris Rock, on Bill Maher's show last week: Kimmel having a show proves that affirmative action is alive in television.

Anyone is better than Letterman, he's not even funny.

It's a subtle, sarcastic style of humor, with lots of non-sequiters. It takes some thinking on the part of the audience, but it's absolutely hysterical. As opposed to Leno, who's just a buffoon who can't write or tell a joke to save his life.

Fok? Comparitively speaking...who do you think is funny?

Personally...I watch Leno when it repeats late at nite. I think he sucks. With a capital S.

I'll tell you what annoys me the most about him..

On most recent monologues he trashes reality shows like the Bachelorette & Joe Millionaire, yet he has them both on...and when he does, he's kissing their ass.

Another thing that bothered me about him is his jokes about Pete Townshend. That really annoyed me.

Dave may not be as much of a sarcastic, celebrity loather as he was when he first started, but [as proven recently with Dr. Phil] he doesn't trash 'em and then kiss their ass.

Is Dave back tonight, or do we get a week of repeats?

This week was scheduled to go on repeats even before Dave had the eye problem.
