Angel 1-22-03 Long Day's Journey
Really good episode. Both Buffy and Angel are dealing with pretty big evils this season, and both have been devoting every episode to it fairly early on without any stand-alone episodes. I think I'm enjoying the Angel story more as of now. Fortuantely, there aren't any reruns in sight until at least March.

I really loved the episode and am very excited about where ANGEL is heading. I think we are in for a treat. This show has been consistantly better than Buffy... I hope it sticks around for a while to come... The end revelation of this episode was terrific... I can't wait too see what happens next...

It looks great! I can't wait. Watching Ed then Angel = good night of tv. I heard the ratings are bad. They better not cancel the show though. WB hasn't picked it up for next year. If WB doesn't pick it up then UPN might. I would hate to see WB's mailbox if they canceled the show. Fans will unite!

Has there been any real concern about it not being picked up for next season? When do they usually renew the show by? I never considered that, it would really suck if this was the last year for both buffy and angel.

Blah. Basketball game here too. Duke/NC State. They're airing it at 11 PM here, though.

great episode, i loved the part at the beginning when cordy called him a peeping tom, cant wait till next week, In the preview for next week it looked like some kind of spell, like in buffy season 3 when that one demon guy was supposed to take away his soul, it looked something like that.

I guess watching the last couple of episodes was as good a time as any to start watching the show - I really like it.
I tried to read up on the history of Angel and Buffy by going over both of the websites, somebody please answer my question: Isn't Angelus Angel the Vampire w/out his soul? I hope it isn't ignorant, but I have tried to learn a lot since last week's ep. So how would they take away his soul? (hasn't this happened before?) Thanks

They may use this as a way around Angel's curse. If they take away his soul/curse, when done they may simply return his soul. Like how Spike got a soul on Buffy, not in the form of a curse. Then he is free to feel his full range of emotions.

Very cool episode and better executed than this weeks Buffy.
It was like a mystery unraveling the whole hour with a good ending.
Loved the Glenn Quinn mention at the end too.
Now if the sun is being hidden, wouldnt the people of Sunnydale know it.
We need a crossover.

Great episode. I loves how the beast just casualy knocked on Conners door.
Gwen in those pants
Next weeks episode should be great.
On a side note tvguide.com made mention today of a guest star on the March 26th episode
Yes
I think the fact the WB put it on that 6 week hiatus and changed the night it's on don't look real positive for it's future. They probably would have killed it last year if UPN wouldn't have had to pick it up.
It's probably 50/50 right now.

A moment of bliss (contentment) is what brings Angelus back into the fold, so when he's really really happy, that's when Angelus comes roaring back. This is part of why Angel is a tragic character, but it's partly due to being cursed for his past actions in his capacity as Angelus.
Meesa like Gwen, she's a good catalyst, shakes things up, and propels the macrostory along very well.
The "In Loving Memory of Glenn Quinn" bit was a nice touch.
