Great ep.
Yeah, but I thought "Two men enter, one man leaves." was the funny part. Especially since I was thinking it the same time Andrew said it.

Yeah, Buffy was the straight man in the setup of the joke. Andrew nailed it with his hushed delivery.

I didn't think that. I've never seen Thunderdome. Guess I'm not geeky enough. *crawls back into his cave*

What made that joke even more humorous in my household was this...

A couple weeks ago, my girlfriend and I were talking about nothing in particular. Out of nowhere [or prompted by something she said, i can't remember] I said "Two men enter. One man leaves." and she looked at me puzzled. I'm like "Duh! Don't you know where that's from?". She said she didn't. I told her where it was from and for the rest of the week, she kept calling me "geeeeeeek".

So, fastforward to last nite. Right after Andrew said it, I was like "Ha! See, i'm not the only one!". Then I realized exactly whom it was that said it.

Awww man. She's right.

Heh.

Something similar happened to me. My wife and I were watching "Misery" on TMC the night before, and I told her that, in the book, she cuts off his feet instead of just breaking them, which is scarier.

It has been at least 5 years since I've seen (or thought about) that movie too.

Wait a minute, you are automatically a geek if you are familiar with Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome?

Rogue588 - welcome brother, we've been expecting you.

cooper2000 - sort of. I think it actually has more to do with being able to understand what Andrew is talking about.

Also kind of inside to people who know Thunderdome was when that uber Vamp threw Buffy into the wall, and she came away with the crossbow. Just like the weapons hanging in the movie.

Regarding a "First Good."

Isn't this just fan speculation?

From what I've seen of the Buffyverse, a "First Good" doesn't seem to be in line philosophically with the metaphysics of the series.
