Always With The Feminism
I just have to vent a little about a certain commercial that has been bothering me for a while. Of course I'm talking about the Always commercial in which there are two women sitting in a vehicle driving on the interstate. I don't remember the exact words, but they say something to the effect of:
"The interstate, obviously designed by men" or something similar.
It's bad enough I have to watch commercials about feminine hygiene products, but now they have to put down men for no apparent reason?! Are these commercials directed by feminists or what? And does this mean we're gonna start seeing Secret commercials with women applying deodorant to their overly hairy armpits?
Maybe I'm making too much of this, but it does raise an interesting point concerning these types of commercials.
Am I alone on this?

I'd have to venture and say that YES, you are alone on that. Let me rephrase that: for the sake of the species that I'm in, I HOPE that you are alone on that.

I'd see it more this way: a niche product using the standard cheap gags that will humor its target audience...
Doesn't seriously relate to feminism... any more than some beer commercial pandering to guys is being seriously sexist with a joke about what women are like...

Some advice: Turn Limbaugh off of the radio, go outside and get some fresh air, and stop trying to find feminist conspiracies everywhere.

Heck, some of the commercials are more entertaining than the shows, nowadays. Thank *insertdeityhere* for DVD, and TV shows on dvd [read: classic, or shows you like on dvd.]
