It sucked. I could barely watch the first 20 minutes of it. The film was horrid, it looked like some crappy webcam video feed.

Hmmm... I liked the look, making me part of a very small minority, it seems. The show, not so much.

What's really so bad about the video quality? I liked how it tried to capture some of the character of film to replace the bland sterility of video. Sure, it may not be as fluid if you're talking about the frame rate, but I liked the motion of the picture. I'm not sure if it's the most appropriate medium for an awards show, but as a filmmaker, I'd rather use 24p than normal video.

Glad I wasn't an epileptic or I would have thrown a dummy just watching it (twitch, twitch).

I couldn't stand the look either. Experment gone wrong. Back to the old format please.

Christina. Love her but no other word comes to mind but "ho." Sad.

Noticed the Avril and Kelly moment. What's so great about Avril anyway? Big deal.

Axl Rose took too long for a comeback. Seemed pretty cool backstage when he was talking to Loder though.

Liked the opening with all the imitations. Eminem showed what an ass he is.

Yeah the look of the show was annoying as hell to watch. Terrible move on MTVs part, I have no idea why they decided to do this.

Em was a prick. I like the guy's music, but why can't he stand up when someone else is trying to "diss him".

Because as he already stated "I had my tv time" and because he pushed Triumph away he wasnt able to (as Triumph said last night on Conan) lick himslef when Christina "I dress like a ho to cover up the fact I have no talent" Aguilara came on stage.

Even though Janeane Garafolo's Conan appearance fell kinda flat, she hit that nail on the head perfectly. The less talented/creative a person is, the more they try to cover it up with sexuality. The VMA's were a perfect example of that.
