American Family - Anybody watching?
I just saw the program "American Family" on PBS for the first time tonite. Two episodes were shown back to back - "Crash, Boom, Love - Part 1" and "Crash, Boom, Love - Part 2". All I can say is WOW! I'm looking forward to seeing other episodes, and I'll determine then whether the series is good or not. But if these two episodes are any indication this is one series that deserves WAY more attention than it's getting.
Anybody else out there watching this? From what I understand it was originally to be aired by CBS but was dropped at the last minute and picked up by PBS instead. The cast is extraordinary - Edward James Olmos, Esai Morales, Raquel Welch, Constance Marie and Liz Torres.

i've come across it a few times and it seems like a pretty high quality show, no wonder the major networks dropped it like a hot potato. the stories seem to be reenactments from an actual families experiences. the one that i saw ended with a woman, who plays a teenager in the series, talking about the incident that the story centered around. it was pretty touching. i've seen parts of others, but never another complete one, so i don't know if that's a common occurance.
