Baby Looney Tunes series announced

http://forums.toonzone.net/showthrea...threadid=36877

Didn't the "take perfectly good cartoon characters and turn them into kids/babies" trend die off about a decade ago? Weren't Muppet Babies, The Flintstone Kids, The Tom & Jerry Kids, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, etc. etc. more than enough? I thought Tiny Toons did a fine job of creating young Looney Tunes without actually turning the original characters into kids. But now they've gone and done it anyway.

Uh, why not give us some good cartoons with the classic Loony Tunes characters instead?

Did someone say "Muppet Babies"? I'm sorry, I just thought someone said "Muppet Babies". Just go back to what you were doing...

Ohhhh yeah, wasn't this pretty much covered with "Tiny Toons"?

Why bother with doing this? They should just create a new show like the old ones. Short clips with the classic characters doing what they do best. Who wouldn't like to see some new Bugs Bunny cartoons? As long as they don't try and update them to much and stick to what works, it might be pretty good. Baby Loony Tunes is a stupid idea.

What ever happened to Animaniacs? That show was the sh**. That's where I'd focus my efforts if I were Warner Bros.

As long as Daffy is in the new Looney Tunes, I'll be watching.

Daffy scares me. Remember the episode "The Good Egg?" (classic cartoon, not Tiny Toons) He liked sitting on that egg just a little too much, if you catch my drift. And I saw one on Cartoon Network recently where he jumped on this guy in a door way, wrapped his legs around the guy's waist and...well...it just didn't look right. But maybe that's why he's DAFFY Duck?

Even better was the episode where him and his dad went putt-putt golfing.

The Animaniacs and Tiny Toons were a waste of time! All that comedic genious being poured into two shows that should have been on prime time instead of tucked in between Judge Judge and Ricki Lake in the afternoons. Instead we get drivel like Bob Patterson, Leap of Faith or Emeril...

Why pour your heart and soul into making cartoons with adult humor and then make sure it airs when no adult can watch it without taping it?

Because cartoons are "only" for kids.

At least thats what studios seem to believe.

You miss the point Hannah-Barbara (sorry for the spelling) did most of those kid shows.

AOL Time Warner has milked Looney Tunes for years. I hated seeing them hock high speed cable.

It just ain't the same without Mel Blanc's vocals.

I doubt we will ever see the original Bugs Bunny characters in another Looney Tunes true to the original cartoons. You just aren't going to see cartoon characters with guns, etc., in this politically correct age. That golden (and funnier) age of cartoon comedy is over I'm afraid, as those cartoons are no longer innocent like they once were.

Anyone remember when they started editing the violence out of the Bugs Bunny cartoons on Saturday morning network TV? And how ridiculous, for example, that whole "Rabbit Season! Duck Season!" bit looked as a result? That was a very sad day for me.

Not all transvestites are gay. But I suspect Bugs Bunny is gay the way he snogs Elmer all the time.

Baby loony tunes would be most suck. They should not do it.
