Oz season 2?
Just finished watching all of the first season on dvd - when can I expect season 2? next week, a month maybe 
I can't wait. This show is even better than I remembered it being.

I remember SATC coming out in the fall of last year and now the 3rd season is coming out this may, so not exactly 12 months. I think it depends mostly on how far the show has progressed. SATC has had 4 seasons already and only 2 have come out. Same with Sopranos, but for Oz, we're at the end of season 5 (or is it 4) and only the 1st season has come out.

I'm assuming that season 2 of OZ will be available sometime before
Season 6 airs (January 2002). Unlike shows like Sopranos and Sex
in the City that had DVDs before its 3rd season aired, OZ had to wait
until Season 5 had ended (Season 4 was 16 episodes long, 8 airing
in the summertime, and the remaining 8 airing in the wintertime).
I figure the release schedule will be similar to Buffy Vampire Slayers
(every 6 to 8 months).

Season 1: May 23, 2000
Season 2: May 22, 2001
Season 3: May 21, 2002
Looks like about 12 months to me...
