Its been awhile since Mike Judge has done Beavis and Butthead. It was fun seeing them on TV again and representing the MTV audience. However, I think Beavis and Butthead are probably smarter than the average teen watching MTV.

Oh how I've missed Beavis and Butthead... I was laughing so hard when I saw them. But what, no love for little Johnny Stewart? He was really funny on the show too.

Some funny. Lots of suck. The Boy Band thing was a rip from Conan's "Dudez a Plenti", and the monologue was 3 years old. The Tina Fey/Ashleigh Banfield thing was hilarious, and seeing Beavis and Butt-head made the evening worthwhile, but overall, pretty average.

For this season which has been really suck IMO
this episode stood out. Stewarts acting was good throughout. Chris Parnell is a strong cast member who was there to fill in for W.F. and he did great.
Cartoon, Weekend Update were good.
Strong musical perfomance also espcially the last number by India Arie.
Better writing would have made this an outstanding episode. The news anchor skit was timely with some good impressions.

You know I hadn't watched it for years, I came upon it while channel surfing this weekend. Sort of like a car wreck, you know you don't want to look, but you just can't help yourself.
I mean, it was so unfunny, I have to wonder if there are "Laugh" signs in the studio along with "Applause". The audience seemed confused.
Then, at around 2am an episode from the late '80s/early 90s came on with Gary Shandling as host, and Phil Hartman, Jan Hooks, Dana Carvey, etc. Much much better.
Still, nothing beats "James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub Party" in my book.

SNL has sucked for years. Will Ferrell is the only guy worth watching on it.
