Survivor 4 : Marquesas

I love watching this show, so I'm thrilled I only have to wait a month for this one. After last nights' return from africa show, they showed some of the next one. Though they didn't show any people, and the cbs site doesnt list any people, am i to assume that Susan, Richard and those few others that they showed are going to be in S4? This time they arent given any food! does that mean marcases has an abundance? guess i'll go google that question.

Also, does CBS have to pay tahiti beaucoup dinero to use their island???

I'm as big a fan of Survivor as anybody but I just think it's too soon for the next one. The more they oversaturate people with survivor the less people will watch(or at least that's what I think) I just think it would be better with like a 3 month wait.

Shamefully, I will watch this one too. They're just entertaining. I agree that there should be a longer wait for the next one. Thursdays are a rough night - they don't want to kill the franchise.

It mainly means the reward challenges won't be the food product placement exercise it's become as it has in the past. They'll get cooler rewards (we hope) not revolving around food, or making fire. That leaves blankets, and maybe some other survival gear.

They should move it to the summer - like survivor 1. They would only be competing against reruns.

BTW, applications for Survivor 5 are due February 8, 2002, so you can expect another Survivor right after this one is done.

Argh! Over-saturation! Too many, too fast.

Not that that will keep me from watching.

I don't think Susan, Richard, et. al., are going to be in this one. They were just using the past survivors to promote the upcoming one.

I am excited about this Survivor. Last time I got real bored, real fast. I just hope this time everyone doesn't attempt to take the role of a past Survivor, because that was just dumb. Also I would like to see more conflicts between people, because thats what keeps me coming back for more .

I think they were only doing promos for it. Especially Richard, if you were a $1M winner, would you do that again?

I've heard reports that Survivor 5 could be set in the Colorado Rockies. Since I live in CO, I'll definately be keeping an eye on this one.

They should have a Survivor set in the Alaskan tundra. Maybe they would have to kill a reindeer for food.

I think they'll still get food rewards, I took it to mean that they just wouldn't be given food for day-to-day meals.

Impossible. Why do they do beach party movies instead of ski hill party movies?

swimsuits.

That's why Survivor will always probably be somewhere hot.

Why did you pick Alaska by the way? I think there are better tundra locations in Canada or Russia. Do you know something I don't?

I've found every single Survivor to be about equal in quality. I only watch about half the episodes (well, don't watch, type on the computer and listen to them) They all start out boring but by half way through they're kind of fasinating until the final episode, then they get rather boring..

They really need to do a deep in the rainforest one. I mean, drop those guys off in the MIDDLE of a rainforest. By that I mean far enough so no matter how far they trek, they wont find any wide open spaces. It would just be trees everywhere.

Now that would be cool.

I missed the entire first Survivor, watched everything associated with Survivor 2, missed every episode of Survivor 3.

I am now looking forward to Survivor 4. I plan to catch every episode as I hated not being able to join in the conversation at Friday's lunches.

Survivor 1 was much better than 2 or 3. One of the reasons is because of the location. I will be happy to see Survivor 4 as soon as possible.

Guess I'm in the minority, but I really enjoyed Survivor 3.
The Outback (2) was my favorite, but I think #3 definately lived up to the others.

I've found a logo that says Survivor 5 is in the Amazon -
http://www.claycritters.com/map/survivormaps.htm

Survivor 3 had some interesting people make it to the merge, and definately had that "hate to love 'em/love to hate 'em" element with Lex. I'm glad Big Tom was in every episode, too. It just wouldn't have been the same without him.

Can't wait till the end of February!!!

It says it's a "rumored" location, but the Amazon would be sweet.

Although I thought Africa was the least entertaining of the three as far as the people went, I thought it was the best location of the three. I bet the Amazon would even top that.

Looking forward to the island, though. That should be beautiful as well.
