Like many TV personalities, she's not the most talented actress (and has some Skinemax work to prove it), but she is Malcolm in the Middle. I think the show could survive better without Muniz than without her. I just hope she's not trying to get much more money than the rest of the cast, because they all do a great job.

das

Oh, and SJP and Heaton are equally (maybe even more) talented in their roles as Kaczmarek is in hers.

I hope this is settled soon with Jane returning to the show. She was hilarious in the first show and continues to be the main reason that I watch the show.

That Dewey is getting more screen time and he's showing some comedic promise as well.

Malcolm in the Middle 3/3/02

Can anyone explain what happened in the intro? My audio was all abuzz during that part. Something to do with Hal and Lois messing around with frying pans...

So, Francis got married! And she has no problem holding her own against Lois. This should make for some comical situations. I wonder where the Francis subplot is heading. For now, I guess he'll just settle down in Alaska with the new wife.

Lois and Hale had a competition on who can hold the HOT iron pans the longest, and the one who lost had to go to the Parent Conference.

Right in the begining I there was a scrolling text (Like intro of Star Wars Movie) to tell you to go to the movie Ice Age and there was a big preview or something.

The "Clones" trailer for, er, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones will be broadcast next Sunday, March 10, between Malcom in the Middle and X-Files, at around 9 P.M. E.T./8 P.M. C.T.

It will also be attached to Fox's "Ice Age", which will premiere in theatres Friday, March 15.

Overall not that great of an episode but still much better than most everything else on TV these days.

I agree. Last we saw him he was stuck doing slave labor for that old woman. I was wondering how he was going to be able to come home, and suddenly there he is with a wife. No continuity.

Did anyone notice Dewey's pet hamster rolling down the sidewalk? Pretty funny! Chris

I agree, I didn't really miss her.
It wasn't one of my favorite episodes but I don't know that her being in it would have made it much better.

She was in the opening sequence (but that could have been filmed for an earlier episode and never used). This episode shows that as strong of a character she is, the producers could kill her off and keep on trucking.

Really I always thought the mother was one of the better characters. Personally I'm starting to find the kids annoying, although Dewey finally getting into "striking back" mode is kind of fun

I think the mother is a strong character but all that screaming she does starts to grate on my nerves after a while...

Kinda miss Francis, tho. Will they ever focus more on his character?

It was a montage of Lois and Hal sleeping in the bed. Night after night, Lois rolls over and steals the covers. Finally, Hal can't take it any more and he sews the covers to his pajamas. Lois rolls over, tearing his pajamas right off of him. She looks over at him shivering naked and says "Not tonight, honey...it's freezing!"

Malcolm In The Middle 11/03/02

Kind of dissapointing, but it wasn't a complete washout. I really liked the whoe Reese goat thing for some reason. I thought that Hal being jealous of Lois, and finding out that Lois got around when she was younger was pretty good as well. I didn't really like the Malcolm angst part, nor the Francis part. Hopefully it will pick up.

Malcolm seemed alright tonight, but the show seems to be continually losing steam. I still feel they need to drop the Francis character or just bring him home. Having a character constantly removed from the core action of a 22 minute show really hurts the pacing for me and just limits the better stories that involve Malcolm, Lois and Hal.
