Just received this as a late xmas gift. It says arcsoft software is availble on the computer and will ask to download as soon as I plug it into a PC....the issue is I have a mac. When I plugged it in the normal "what to you want to open with" prompt came up. Can I not use the software on mac?

The version that came with the camera is PC only but they make pc/mac version.....according to arcsoft's website:

yea but im not paying 79.00 for it. will just use iphoto

I have one of these and I don't use the provided software. I just transfer the files to the PC using the USB connection and use third party software. I read some awful reviews of the Arcsoft package. Don't forget to update the firmware, too. Mine wasn't up to date (I bought it in early December) so yours might not be. It's easy to do - instructions are on the Kodak site.

I wouldn't either, but since you have a liscened PC version, they may allow you to download the MAC version.
