What's the best DVD authoring program?

What is a recommended FREE program that I can use to create a DVD of all my MPG and AVI files?

I would recommend DVD Flix

http://www.dvdflick.net/

(though I'm thinking another new member will show up and their first post will recommend something different)

DVDFlick is pretty cool but it can stumble with AVI offsets.

Try the setting to ignore AVI offsets if you have sync issues.

I haven't tried to make any DVD's with it yet but it is installed, I regret getting Nero (though it was a gift) now that you all have shown me CDBurnerXP and DVD Flix.

I also use Burnaware. Seems to work fine as a burning program.
