youtube & wmp question....

OK, I have a problem....I have uploaded several home movie clips so that family across the country can see my videos without me making massive numbers of DVD or CDV copies, and mailing them out, etc...
And now, my original discs are damaged beyond repair (Disc Dr, heal thyself!). I've tried to download the clips I originally uploaded via Real Player and Vooby's...but when I try to burn a DVD of them, the audio drops completely out about halfway through each clip (the video does not have any issues, though).
What would cause this? I've made a duplicate of my personal footage on my laptop before onto DVD-Rs, and had no issue. Is it because I've downloaded them from YouTube? Even though I didn't have any "copy-protection" on them? I mean, they're home movies, for gosh sakes, lol.
I'd really like to save this footage. Anyone have any clues as to what I might do?

Re: youtube & wmp question....

The quality of what you uploaded is probably not the same once you download from YouTube...Unless it's HD, I wouldn't try burning a DVD (Video) from YT downloads...

They're not, but I'd hate to lose them entirely vs. having lesser quality versions of them...

Re: youtube & wmp question....

Download the MP4 of your movies off of Youtube.

WMP will not handle MP4 without some buggy plugins, so use different software to burn the disc form the MP4 source.

Cats that aren't declawed suck. It was just two of my original DVDs, but they equalled about 25 five-minute segments I uploaded.
