Re: I-touch a Good Alternative to I-phone?
don't apply for major credit cards, means no VISA, MC or AMEX logo
apply for a simple store card and see if you can get it. check out www.creditboards.com |

Just keep track of what you have bought. It's not hard. Don't put everything on the card. Get a card for a gas station and just put gas on it and pay it off at the end of the month. That will help.

Re: I-touch a Good Alternative to I-phone?
You can easily have a CC and still only spend money you currently have. Just pay your balance every month, in full.
We rarely use cash. Everything goes on our CC which is paid in full each month. On top of that, we get bonus points which, IIRC, amount to about 1% of our charges. These can be exchanged for $20 in groceries. Considering our monthly CC bill is about $2000, we get $20 free per month. I think other cards have even better incentives. CC's are really only bad for people that can't control their spending, or are poor at keeping track of their expenses. Regarding the iPod Touch, I thought I read that the new version wouldn't be up to par with the latest iPhone? For example, it won't have the OLED screen. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I thought I read that somewhere... Last edited by andicus; 07-09-09 at 04:54 PM. |

Re: I-touch a Good Alternative to I-phone?
My CC balance is paid automatically out of my checking account every month, and as previously mentioned, I get rewards for using it. Good credit history + free stuff = Win!
To steal the guns argument, credit cards don't put people in debt...people put people in debt. On topic, I've been thinking about going the touch route myself just because I don't want a monster phone bill.
