can't sync files to mp3 player (sansa 4gb)
i don't know if its my usb port crappin out on me (the mouse and webcam work fine) but i can't get the usb to read my mp3 player. I have a Sansa 4gb and the plug i use is a sam disk. Should i just go to radioshack or best buy and get another usb cord, or am i sol?

I have a 2Gb Sansa, and the computer won't recognize it unless it's on the correct USB option. It should be on the main menu(mp3,video, etc.) I'm not sure what the choices are, but see if it's there and change it to see if that help.

When you plug your USB cable into the Sansa, does it at least charge the batter? If so, then the cable may be okay. I agree with ESUguy...from the main screen. From the user manual:
1. Select the Setting item in Main Menu. 2. Select the USB Mode item. You can select Auto Detect or MSC mode. Note: MTP Media Player (MTP) mode The MTP mode supports Windows Media Player 10 only. You must use the MTP mode to synchronize music files using Windows Media Player 10. |
