Simplifymedia.com is a great app for listening (streaming) of all of your MP3z on your computer HD thru your iPhone. It is free to the first 100,000 downloads and works great.
It also (because of the id tag within the MP3), gives you lyrics to the song, plus artist bio. Of course your computer has to be on for this to work, but it is a nice little (and still hopefully free - it still shows as free) program. Chris

The update to MLB at bat gives you the gameday feature.
![]() And I like ambiance. It's basically a noise machine. Lots of good sounds. Some apps I would like to see are a tv guide app or a Tivo app. |

Just bumping this thread since I bought an iPhone yesterday. Love it so far, barely know how to use it, let alone fully explore these apps, but I'm starting on them tonight.

X-Plane was released on the iPhone, today. It's a scaled-down version of what most aviation geeks regard to be the most realistic flight simulator available on home computers. Here's the link to the iTunes Store:
p hobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=290619945&mt=8 OK, for whatever reason, the link keeps getting screwed up. Remove the space between P and HOBOS and you're in business. Last edited by shaun3000; 09-13-08 at 12:17 AM. |

I like both Vicinity and iWant since I travel a lot. Both work well.
Absolute Fitness is a little pricy, but I do like. That and Resturant help me watch what I eat. AOL Radio works suprisingly well. Admit one is great (again since I travel a lot) Google is sort of hit and miss. Sometime right on, other time meh... meebo for IM is ok...not great, but ok DMB set list is exactly that, updated after every show. I've had my 3G about 3 weeks and love it. |

1. most of them work for the touch also
2. Itunes under the app store or if you are on a wireless network you can download it directly to your touch 3. sync your ipod after you download the apps |

It's early, but so far, Simplify Media is about the greatest thing since sliced bread.
No need to copy any music to my iphone, I just stream it all from my home PC, for free.

I just d/l FlyCast (free). It is sort of satellite radio for the iPhone. Like AOL Radio it works surprisingly well. It even builds a buffer in case it loses the signal. I have used it with the speaker phone, my desk top speakers thru the Universal dock and in the car thru an FM transmitter. It work pretty well. I like it. And free is good!!!!

Can someone tell me why I shouldn't return my 16g for an 8g.
The Simplify Media app is working flawlessly, I have full and free access to my entire home iTunes library on my iPhone 24/7. I may not even put a single song on my actual iPhone. I don't plan on getting into movies on it, so i really just need space for apps, my personal documents, and maybe a 100 or so songs for times when I can't stream my home stuff. Also, I'm addicted to this thing and need more info. Anyone recommend some good iPhone forums?

I am down to 1.5gb left available on my 16gb, because I love carrying TV shows with me, that I don't seem to get caught up on at home. I know you mentioned not wanting movies, but I carry 1-2 movies on mine, and about 20-30 TV shows, that I am watching. Got a short wait somewhere? Watch an episode of Speed Racer!

Thanks for the input all. Leaning towards downgrading to the 8gig, but then, I just might get into putting my movies on this thing, so the more space the merrier I guess.
The forums are full of good info. Going to make a bunch of ring tones next day off.

I went to buy a 8 gig and at the last minute got a 16 gig....hope I don't get put into iphone jail...but it is relatively easy to rip your own DVD to the iphone they are great to have in case stuck on a plane. Or doing cardio only at the gym. I have 4 moves + 200 songs + 40-50 pic's + apps. I have about 8gig free on my 16 gig iPhone.

Anyone hear about an app coming that will allow me to stream XM-Sirius? I know there is an official one but you have to pay $7/month. I just want to be able to log on to my online account and stream.

I will also post this in the main iPhone thread, but I was wondering, I have 5 screens now of applications and it is difficult to find the programs I want.
Is there a way, or is there a program that would instead create folders on the screen where you could drop the applications into categories that define what they are. In other words, create a folder for games, music apps, etc. I'm tired of having to go thru 5 screens and counting to find the applications that I want. A year from now most of us might have 20 or more screens (if possible) to have to look for applications. In other words I want a Windows / Mac way of storing programs in specific folders. Can it be done? Thanx Chris

Only 5 screens? I'd at 9, and they are almost full.
![]() What happens if I fill them? I think 9 screens is the limit. But I agree, folders would be nice.

9? Yikes!
![]() I wonder if someone will (can) develop a low cost app that would allow us to put these apps in folders? Chris
