Running SLI video cards - do they need to be the same?

I have an XFX 8800GTS 320MB video card --- my question is this, do I need to have the exact card or spec of card in order to run an SLI configuration?

The exact card I have is very hard to find and even when I do find it it's seem to have held its value. I was hoping to get another 8800 GT card and run it in parallel. Will there be any issues with doing this?
