Help - Changing File names in Bulk
I'm old school and still sort my music in folders.
for example I have a folder called: "Top 100 1980" The file names are Track 01 Track 02 Track 03 I would like to add "Top 1980" in front of the track - Top 1980-01 Top 1980-02 or 1 - Stairway to 2 - Money 3 - Light my Fire I would like to delete the (number and - ) in front of the song name Stairway to Money Light my Fire Is there a way to do this in bulk - without having to right click on the file name and adding or deleting items hundreds of times? Thanks ![]() |

If they're all music files, then mp3tag may work for renaming them to what you want:
http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ Another option for just general file renaming is RenameFiles: http://it-falke.com/software/renamef...escription.php |

Flexible Renamer is pretty good.

Two of my favorite apps:
File Renamer Basic 4.0.3 MP3 Tag Tools v1.2 Both are excellent at what they do, and both are freewares. |
