What is the best resolution for a 20 inch monitor?

What is the best ratio to use for a 20 inch widescreen monitor. I just recently purchased a samsung 206BW.I believe it was 1680-1050 as a native resolution. I am currently using 1600x900. Is this correct?

Also if im using the DVI imput do i still need to use the other input? Sorry if i sound like a newb. This is my first LCD monitor.

If it's native resolution is 1680 x 1050 then you should have it set on 1680 x 1050.

For LCDs, always use the native resolution. Anything else will look foolish.

For CRTs, use what looks best to you.

Yeah, you'll be getting the blurries if you don't use the LCD's native resolution, though I have seen some do a pretty good job of scaling other resolutions.

Native resolution, and for the other question, stick with DVI.
