My Hijack This Log
hi folks... i've got something wierd going on all of a sudden. IE keeps crashing and i keep getting a series of popups about installing antivirus software from Winantispyware.com. also, i'll get this wierd flash on my browsers sometimes when i click links (like the webpage goes blank for a second then returns). i've always tried to keep my pc clean and have run Spybot, Adaware, Norton and a variety of online scanners. haven't been able to find the problem yet. so, if someone has a chance to look over my HJT log and see if anything needs fixing that would be great. thanks in advance, greg

I can't comment on the log, but first thing I noticed is - Why are you running SP1? AFAIK, you should have updated to SP2.
Have you tried using Windows Defender, from Microsoft? (It may require getting SP2 to use it, I don't know.) |

O2 - BHO: BhoApp Class - {0CB66BA8-5E1F-4963-93D1-E1D6B78FE9A2} - C:\Program Files\WinBudget\bin\matrix.dll Put a check next to that one along with these and click fix: O20 - AppInit_DLLs: O23 - Service: Norton Unerase Protection (NProtectService) - Unknown owner - D:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\AdvTools\NPROTECT.EXE (file missing) O23 - Service: Remote Packet Capture Protocol v.0 (experimental) (rpcapd) - Unknown owner - %ProgramFiles%\WinPcap\rpcapd.exe" -d -f "%ProgramFiles%\WinPcap\rpcapd.ini (file missing) Also, look in Program Files and see if you have a folder called WinBudget, if so, delete it and then reboot. See if things are any better. |
