Thumbnail Images dont show (Win XP)

Okay, so whenever I go to My pictures or whatever and try to use the filmstrip or thumbnails the pictures dont show up. They used to but now they dont. Furthermore, whenever I double click to open them to see them nothing happens, I have to go to EDIT to view the images.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

this probably happened around the time when the windows metafile vulnerability was a big issue in the [computer] news.

make sure you have the official patch first: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms06-001.mspx

then go to Start -> Run -> type in "regsvr32.exe shimgvw.dll" (no quotes)

a restart may be necessary, i can't remember.
