Audio-CD Track Layout Optimization - Program available?
Hello. I have 54 audio tracks that need to be burned onto audio CDs. The total time for all 54 tracks is 3:31:27 so I will obviously need multiple discs. The order of the tracks do not matter but I want to try and evenly spread the tracks across three 80-minute CD-Rs.
Is there a program available that will sort the tracks for me into three 74-minute batches so that I know what to burn on each disc? If not, any other tips are also greatly appreciated. I hate spending time adding and removing tracks in order to make the best use of the time available on each disc. Thanks. ![]() Last edited by yashan; 10-29-05 at 05:50 PM. Maybe a little low tech but why not a simple Excel spreadsheet with 3 columns to represent the 3 CDs that sums the running times. But first add another column for all the running times, sort by running time, spread the longest tracks across the 3 column/CDs and use the shorter tracks to 'fill' the end of each CD?

Yeah, I guess I could do that, but I had my hopes up for something high tech.
